    Some of the stuff people do really scares the crap out of me to think they are pulling trailers on the road. This concept doesn't bother me, it just got me thinking about stuoid people...

    Hello all!

    I can’t believe I’m so far away from the fires and my car was covered with ashes this morning. When you looked outside yesterday you thought for sure a new fire broke out closer. It’s got to be just awful for the firefighters and everyone closer. My thoughts are with anyone going through this.

    @US Marine
    Be safe and make sure you take care of yourself out there. I know the fire is a ways from you but it is still close enough (as you have already stated) to cause some health issues.

    I'm staying inside as much as possible , the ash fallout and smoke has diminished a lot since Wednesday but can change if we get a strong SSW wind

    Smart plan. Hopefully the winds will work with the fire crew. I saw on the news last night the fire tornado and it just makes me so concerned for those fighting it.

    the Holy Fire is now at 18k plus acres with little to none containment and a fire this size can /will create it's own weather such as strong winds that create fire tornadoes .This fire is a terrain driven fire as this area hasn't burned in 40 plus years , so there's a lot fuel to burn

    I've got a friend of mine who is a Firefighter with the Apple Valley Fire Authority and is probably on scene fighting the fire

    Good Afternoon

    Well fishing was not so good on Lake Michigan today. Caught 2 real small king salmon. Teds wife Wanda caught this lake trout, her first fish on the big lake

    All in all it was still good time. We already booked for next year. I have rest of today off, so now its nap time.

    This big guy went by us on its way to Green Bay for the Tall Ships Festival

    Yuma has a big ag impact on the markets. You can drive through and see the fields in different stages. Right now its hay and cotton. But it's interesting to see the farmers disc under a crop when the markets are declining because they won't get out would they would have fully put into it. Some farmers lease their fields out and the big names (Dole, Delmonte, etc) will send in a contractor (or hire the farmer) to plant certain crops because of futures. It's also interesting on how well the coordination is between farmer, crop and cooling houses so there's a constant flow of product during the winter. Some fields now are getting ready for winter crops.
