One of the young techs screwed up his ford the other day. Crossthreaded two bolts going into the turbo for a coolant leak repair . I told him what to do when he was too scared that he was going to break something. So I did it for him. Took me like 10 minutes. And he got me this.

 

Just got the call. No need to go up there now. Everything faired pretty well with some minor stuff to clean up but no show stoppers. I'm trying not to go up until the end of Aug, beginning of Sept just before the season starts. I have road work to do then and there's really nobody out there. My biggest concern is someone getting trapped behind the washes and having a medical emergency. We had that happen last year. I was there with the equipment within a couple hours but that's still too long for the "golden hour". Luckily it was a physical injury that wasn't life threatening and they were able to walk across the wash to another vehicle that took them to the clinic/urgent care. And now I have them worked fairly well and down to just a couple spots. I'll get thosetaken care of this winter and have a lot less to worry about.

I thought someone made a bolt in unit for a taco.
There is also a short bed one that moves back and pivots on its own during sharp turns.

Some of the stuff people do really scares the crap out of me to think they are pulling trailers on the road. This concept doesn't bother me, it just got me thinking about stuoid people...

Hello all!

I can’t believe I’m so far away from the fires and my car was covered with ashes this morning. When you looked outside yesterday you thought for sure a new fire broke out closer. It’s got to be just awful for the firefighters and everyone closer. My thoughts are with anyone going through this.

Be safe and make sure you take care of yourself out there. I know the fire is a ways from you but it is still close enough (as you have already stated) to cause some health issues.
