Can’t say as I care for FM anymore, got spoiled on XM. That and my Gigapod is all I listen to now. Sure is nice not havin to hunt up another station when yah leave the broadcast radius.

The local FM stations play a regular rotation of music you can basically set yer clock to the song that’s playing, it’s a lot like “Ground Hog Day”

The real irony of my meeting is, the only person who won't be there is.....THE BOSS. He picks his daughter up from school at 2:45 every day. I have to be there for me, and to take notes for him. He shows up here every day at 10AM. I'm taking lunch by then. At least he's an alright guy. Last boss was the ultimate asshole.

Man, my boss hated me... but then the feeling was mutual.

Attila the Hun would have been a step up from my last one. New guy is as close to perfect as a boss can get. 11-1/2 months until retire date. Just gotta keep this guy on the job until then.

It's too bad XM is kinda on it's way out. I really hope not. We only have 4 stations here I can understand. Since I got XM it's made toe tapping a whole lot easier. The 4 local stations really do play the same shit over and over. XM does have some of that too but I have 10 preset buttons that I like and aren't just the next best choice of music.

Yes I talked about backhalfing but decided not to go that route as I was quoted $10k plus to have it done and it's to damned expensive . Yes I'm looking at a new motor stay Gen 1 sbc maybe 434sbc or go LS with a turbo

This is the safety bell housing I'm looking at for my turbo 350 and you've got to cut off the oem one and bolt the ultra bell onto the case

    https://racewithjw.com/product/ultra-bell-th400th350-to-gm/

Yes I installed a 4500 stall converter a year ago

I had a 8 point chromemolly cage installed over a year ago that is certified to 9.99 ET . This cage install though it was done to spec wasn't properly fit for my 6'4" body and im now to tall to safely fit as my helmet hits the roof . This cage install was $2k and now to be NHRA legal needs to be modified at $2500

I don't have access to a lift unless I've got a shop with one while they perform the work . I do have a friend , the one I helped build the garage and is putting in a couple 4 post lifts but that won't happen for year or so

The GM 10 Bolt in the Camaro is basically stock except for spool and 3.73 gears and living on borrowed time and have another 10 bolt at friends house with major upgrades waiting to be installed . This 10 bolt has welded tubes ,35 spline axles and 4.88 gears

Well you got the shaft on the cage.
    I am sorry...
Can you cut a relief in the floor and stick your ass out the bottom ?.

    ROFLMAO..
    That was bad...

Sounds like you need to come up with a plan to do everything at once.
If not it will cost you so much more..

    Curious bit of coincidence today...

So yesterday I stopped at a new bike shop in our neighborhood. The skinny 25mm tires on my bike don't make for a very pleasant ride, scooting around on the war-torn streets of Chicago, so I had this idea (after maybe 4 years on the same tires) to get the fattest tires I could get on this bike to help alleviate the bone-rattling ride and the constantly leaking tires (miraculously, no bent rims.) I got a quote from them, which was a bit more than I expected, but that's one of the "benefits" of city life I guess. I was figuring I would just go there over the weekend and get it taken care of.

So today I'm out running errands on the bike, about 3-3.5 miles from home and...

    tire1.jpg

Yep, a flat. First time ever for me on any of the dozens of 2 wheeled vehicles I've had. And the day after I stopped in the shop and could've had them replaced. :censored:

I start walking the bike on about a 6 block walk to the bus that will get me back home, when I walk past a little hole in the wall bike shop. Well there's a nice spot of good luck, I figured. So I go inside just as the guy was leaving to run some errands. He goes back in, I explain my situation, and he pulls the tire for me. It turns out, I popped the inner tube - on the inside of tube, not the outside - so it wasn't due to a nail, glass, etc. Very odd. Next coincidence? The owner is a chess nerd, who just happens to teach extra curricular classes at my kids' grade school - and my kids both were in his class last year. Now that means that I'm more than just another customer, eh? So he ends up swapping out the tires for some 32mm tires with HD inner tubes and rim guards (or whatever they're called) for about 30% less than what the neighborhood store wanted, for the same tires.

    IMG_3354.JPG copy.jpg

Ok, it's not much of a story, but as I get older, I find I am much more appreciative of the little gems in the day like this.

    Na zdrowie!
