Very similar the top wheel acts as the arbor press arm but where the arbor press uses the gear and lever mechanical advantage that wheel weighs aprox 180 -222 lbs and when spun using the screw as an incline plane the force is multiplied may times over with less effort.

I have seen them only on line being used as a shop but for folks with really small lots / rental duplex etc it seems like it would be a good option and movable . Just have to be planed out really carefully.

I like dogs and machines more then I like most people soo :} I am sure if you google shipping container homes you will find they are doing it in a lot of places , as for burying one there is some issues with the strength of the sides and top they have to be braced from what I have seen. As the engineered strength is in the corners for stacking etc.

I am going to roll on to the rack 0500 comes to damn early in the morning catch you later.

Running the plumbing today to put a sink in the basement water closet, a.k.a. toilet room. Peeled off some paneling and opened up the wall in the utility room to add some bracing for the wall mounted sink, and discovered this:

Eventually it all goes away, but a basement rehab is not on the immediate schedule or budget. After having gut rehabbed much of the two upstairs units, I'm well aware of just how much DIY dumbassery can be committed over the last 100 years.

    A lot.

I have one set up with an ac unit. Mostly just as a cool spot for this year. It's going to morph into an office and a room to put tools I don't want in the heat. My other one is tools and parts for vehicles/heavy equipment but it'll probably get an ac unit also. I have another that is bulky parts, toilets, sinks, extra hose and a 4th that was for plumbing and electrical but we've since moved it into the back of a building that was a sign shop. The signs are going into that container.

    20180606_125233.jpg
That's the office at the end of the roof line

I got these for just under $2400 a piece. I bought 3 over time and an 8x10 for a shed at one of the host sites. I'll probably get a few more of those over time also.
