I worked for a hydraulic repair company a long time ago. a company 's employees went on strike so the company had my company come in and do repair work wile the equipment was idle. We pulled up to the gate in our trucks. this older lady runs up and jumps up on the running board of the truck and tries to spit on us. A police officer pulls her down off the truck.
two weeks later after the strike was over we where still there finishing up. The same older lady came up to us with homemade baked goods. she was all happy and thanked us for fixing her equipment line. Still laugh about it. looking at this lady I didn't think she could walk mush less run and jump up on the truck.

At least you get that option here in this state if the employer pays 50 percent towards a medical plan you have to take it. Even if you are covered under a spouses plan. Found that out when I was married she got a job that after 6 months you were put in the med plan. I already covered her and the kids through my state employees med plan. Told her to refuse it and found out can't ! So 120 a month loss because of it.

At least it’s not 110f out. But we had mud after the 4th wettest September on record and it’s not over yet. It’s a Bermuda strain so it’s drought tolerant

Wet? I think we’ve had 43” of rain just since May. It’s odd to see the sunshine. Sunny today but i think until yesterday they said we’d had like 8 hours of sundhine total for the month

    Yikes!

    Sure.....fuck that!

I put in this year 'round blend. No, it dies in winter. So the first sign of it turning brown I shut the sprinkler system down.

Good morning folks. Nothing like waking up an hour early and not able to get back to sleep.

The members need to be very careful with this strike. With the recent Janus ruling, basically all states are 'right to work' (for less) states. Company could possibly bus in replacement workers and terminate striking members. Good luck to them!

    Good Morning

Last night at work we had to evacuate the plant for an hour. A water/resin tank that is used in sealing engine block caught fire. Plant 17 maintenance was working on it. Went on break left heating elements on with low water level. Resins it tank reached flash point and fire. It was put out buy closings the lid. I wonder how toxic that smoke was. I was working in an air condition room and when I came out I could smell it and nobody was around. I got the hell out of Dodge. No anoucement over PA.
