Oh geez! Glad she is ok. She’s probably gonna be feeling it tomorrow. Make sure she takes it easy.

Nice ride! But as a young lady, she's probably pretty involved socially and needs a vehicle that can accommodate friends n fun... kind of like this activity-oriented SUV that I saw earlier this year when homeboy tried to (unsuccessfully) rob a local bank and then hole up across the street from my kids' school. BTW, nothing quite as exciting as getting that email "lockdown notice" from the principal.

It'll take a month to get my sleep pattern back to normal. Sleep all day/awake all night. Damn near impossible to sleep in a hospital. About 9 or 10 hours before I get out of here. At least the nurse on duty has a cool Land Cruiser. We have that to talk about.

Doc says I'm OK. Gotta start taking another overpriced med.....

    Bill ..

That's good news from your Doc !!

When I had my knee replacement at the VA Hospital back in Nov 2014 I was there until the Day before Christmas . I had a hard time sleeping as well but once I got my pain meds it was lights out

I had two roommates that snored loudly and that was part of the reason for not sleeping .i remember one time about 0300hrs my roommate was snoring so loudly I got out of bed and with my walker hobbled to the nurses station . I told the nurses I can't sleep due to his loud snoring . They let me stay at the nurses station until vitals check . Never understood why the nurses would check your vitals at 0445hrs . I had blood thinners while I was there and hated those injections done by the Vampire I mean phlebotomist

Unfortunately I had problems with my knee replacement and had to have a revision done 6 months later which was a 3 week stay in the hospital . This time I brought my walkman with ear buds and was able to sleep soundly listening to country music . Even during the early morning vitals check the nurses couldn't wake me up

Looking back almost 4 years since my knee replacement it definitely was an experience . You'll like this , I was so drugged up / medicated I'm surprised I still remember that hospital stay every 4-6 hrs it was (2) vicodins , (1) extended release Morphine pill and (2) vials of liquid morphine . I was so drugged up that physical therapy was pain free

I remember one of my nurses she made my stay there fun and enjoyable . the Evening after my surgery I had friends there and the ordered pizza . I had a couple slices and she came into my room and told me she won't say anything to my doctor what I was eating 6 hrs later after major surgery

I remember doing something like that in the recovery room after surgery but wasn't swearing .I was in so much pain I was very uncomfortable and the nurse gave me something in my IV . That med was so strong I was beyond relaxed but within 30 min the pain came back and I received more meds

After the 3rd time meds were given to me the nurse said you've got enough pain meds onboard to drop an elephant

    Good morning all.

Yeah, you don't go to the hospital to get sleep.

Last year when I was in the hospital for the pneumonia, one of the nurses noticed a guns & ammo magazine I had. She was into shooting so I became a fav patient.
