Traffic sucks, period. No matter where it's at. I don't no the guy's name but was thinking about the guy dealing with the fire situation. Hope all is well where he's at.

I've looked at several models that attach to SUV's or trucks but haven't seen one quite like that. I like it, how long does it take you to set up, who is the maker? I would only use it in the fall so bugs and air tight seal isn't important to me. Staying dry is though. And hope for no snow load on it.

Happy Saturday evening all. Glad I got the thermostat fixed and AC running Thursday evening. Shooting got rained out this morning and blue skies now. It is 61 which is the highest it has been all day. Might end up running the boiler at this rate LOL but love having the house open and dry cool air blowing through the house again.

This is a Busnell 14x10 instant cabin (think the size is right). It's technically not built to attach to the truck. With no directions, only took 5 min to get to what your seeing. It's not all buttoned down, I just want to make sure I could set it up by myself and see if the the topper would fit in like I wanted it to. I wanted one easy and quick to set up but also able to pull away and use the truck. I would set it up like that just for sleeping with the topper and the tailgate Open , sleeping in the truck bed platform. Should be good.
Here's the tent I believe. A lot cheaper, bigger, and easier to set up compared to the ones I've seen that attach to the vehicle. I also believe they are built for Bushnell by Coleman.

Awesome, thanks! I have an ARE MX topper but I think it would still work. Great job thinking outside the box! I have looked at the Coleman instant tents before and wished there was a way to attach one. I have a wall tent that I can setup by myself but it takes at least 45 minutes usually closer to an hour. And breaking camp takes forever.

I sleep in the back of the truck at times

But always felt adding a tent to the setup would make things a lot nicer. I just rented a cabin for the first week of Oct. on the North Shore of Lake Superior but plan on going back up hunting the third week also. That tent would allow mobility, I like it.

Ha, that barely qualifies as a tent. That thing is huge. Just pull the Tacoma into the garage portion. Lol the hardest part finding it was a second door.

Oh boy, when I was younger and living in Montreal I would visit every year with my family, fond memories for sure. Love the east coast, beautiful place to live for sure. Grew up and traded the east for the west coast, miss that area and the nice beaches and boardwalks.

Off to a rip roaring start.....At work...After a day off. Now to counter the effects of my boss....He made 2 of my crew sand and paint stairway handrails IN THE RAIN yesterday. With latex paint (so it would dry quicker)) over epoxy paint....(Latex doesn't stick) What wasn't washed off by rain is already starting to peel. Concrete is stained by the paint washed off the rails. Best part is, he'll deflect blame to me and my crew when the members come in today and see the clusterfuck HE created. We had rain ALL day yesterday, over 2"....Humidity is in the mid 80% range. No paint will dry in conditions like this. Even what dries on the surface is just sealing in moisture trapped beneath. We have cooler, drier conditions due here by tomorrow. These stairs will be closed Monday and Tuesday anyway....PERFECT for painting the handrails then. But someone's inability to wait until the time is right, jumps up and bites us in the ass yet one MORE time.

It is no shame when you don't know something. Just ask someone who does and get the right answers before you stick your finger in the light socket. What IS a shame is when you pretend you know everything and really don't have a freekin' clue, but want everyone to THINK you know it all.

And now he'll be pissed at me for "making him look bad". No dude...You did that on your own when you opened your mouth.

BTW, Baby is doing much better. New med seems to be working for the time being. She was up and running around the house this morning when I was leaving for work.

My tent......Actually tows well behind the Tacoma. a little more restricted where I can go than a tent, but warm, dry, and hitches up in minutes!

Bought it cheap. I've had a few offers that about blew my mind. I didn't know they were a fad with celebrities until after I had mine. Somewhat restored, but a few modern amenities inside. A/C added since photo. Also raised it about 2-1/2", added a front mount for a generator, rear mount for LP gas tanks, an added modern brakes (new axle)

I know I'm new here but praying for this guy Chuck. Read the fire is largely contained but lots of damage and home loss. I know he's probably and hoping his area wasn't affected. I'll be out most of the day moving my daughter into her dorm.

I assume if you had warned him about the paint it would have triggered his ego to go into a rage. Give him enough rope...
Glad to hear about the dog, keep him comfortable as long as possible.

It is a nasty fire that is fueled by an area that hasn't burned in decades and winds that keep shifting. But it is now 73% contained and they are letting people at the northern end, near Wrightwood go back home. 105 houses destroyed. 87000 people evacuated, good chance Chuck was one of them. With the smoke and ashes, you don't want to be there anyway. Hope he is ok.

Nope! I wasn't here, nor did anyone bother to call me. I'd rather let him make a fiasco out of a simple task anyway. Glad he did what he did. Now I just have to call attention to it.
