had an echo for years about 7 I think just died this hear. but it may have been my fault. wile mixing the oil-fuel I got distracted. so I think I humped up the mix. the machine did not like it at all. froze that piston right up. no complaints I got a Sthil this time because it was on sale.

:) This is my second break in 18 months. The first required surgery, big plate installed. I broke it in 3 parts, one floating. Now from a MTB accident, I've broke the bone end off the off the plate, which has a tendon attached that holds the clavicle down, and I have a loose screw (one my wife says I've always had). So my clavicle stick up now. I going to wait until I retire in Jan to see if I want another surgery or not. I have full range of motion but still some pain and a minime on my shoulder. lol

Good luck. If it helps any, I had two surgeries to repair mine after crushing it in a road bike wreck about 7 yo. A plate with 13 screws. It's pretty much fully functional now. Even us old folks can heal given enough time.

Yeah, I'm actually good (Little pain). I'm gonna head to NC and do some DHing thur/fri and test it out LOL. It's taking longer because, no surgery. I was surprise how fast I healed after the first one. It's like, once they bolt you back together, your ready to go, no really, but you know. Thanks

So my wifey and me are thinking about a road trip in Sep or Oct. Before I retired a girl that worked for me went to MN and recommended it for a vacation. When is the best time to see some foliage and tour before it gets too cold? Thinking we'll drive up through Iowa and back thru IL.

Well the van is dead. Think it broke the sun gear in the trans. So new ecu to get the electronics to work but Damage was done. So now. $1000 bill and nothing to drive home. Never liked the piece of shit but it was the right thing at the time. So I'll put it on Craig's list as a parts van to get a few hundred back. Sucks but that's life. Will get it towed out and back home and list it. If I can't sell it in a few weeks I'll get rid of it for scrap.

Best time IMO for leaf lookers is first week of October but of course it can change every year by a week or two. This is the North Shore of Lake Superior the second week of Oct. and a lot of leaves have already dropped which is normal.

Third week of Oct. is normally the start of freeze up and often there are no leaves left except pines of course. I camp and hunt ruff grouse on the North Shore but inland during the weeks of Oct. every year I can which is most years. Cold is a relative thing... At the beginning of Oct. it is usually damn pleasant by the end of Oct. I like to say it is "invigorating".

This would be my pick if I was leaf looking and checking out scenery. http://www.superiorbyways.com/routes/north-shore-scenic-drive

Started and stopped several times here for Iowa jokes but going to play nice and not touch that one ;)

;) Looks like through Iowa is the straightest line for me to Minneapolis. ~10.5 hours. Thanks for the info. Sounds like if we go end of Sep we should be good.

If you can believe it, that was an actual thing in the city I live in. Paint it green because they didn't want a dead looking lawn.
