Awesome night last night at "Punktoberfest" at 350 Brewing. Surprisingly, the flyer said kids were welcome too (because nothing says "family" like punk music and beer, eh?), so mine got to see their favorites: Celtic punk band Flatfoot 56. We got there early enough to get right up front during the sound check.

    IMG_4650.jpg

Awesome bunch of dudes - super friendly and happy to chat with their fans after the show. Kids got all their swag signed too, including their latest CD, tipping their collective hat to their bluegrass roots.

    IMG_4690.jpg

Bonus for dad was that the beer was actually quite good; double bonus was that mom was driving.

    Cheers, lads!

    I’m exhausted
Heel gave me hell yesterday, had to ice it down. Couldn’t do my stretches since missing skin . Got it taped up. Didn’t sleep well. Cabinets not matching stain on others from a year ago, imagine that. Painting all of it now.
Still rain on and off. Pup escaped pen and trashed house.

    One (overhauled)is being heat cycled.
One (New Arien) is sitting in the shed waiting for the winter switch.
Tractor is being used to mow grass until the switch.
Then it gets morphed into main blower.

Love all the suggestions, thanks @DoorDing and @ImpulseRed008

Good ideas for sure but most can’t be implemented... I live too far away for starters. Secondly, I’m not sure how much I want to get involved... I’m here now to take care of some larger maintenance issues with the farm. Don’t know if I want (or even have the energy) to try to get her started organizing. We’ve always had a very strained relationship (abusive) so I only interact when I have to.

    Oh well..
Think I told you about a 70’s bait caster that was given to me.
So I took it out for the last time this year and caught a few of these..

So then the not so fun part of my year..
    Sniff sniff.

I always get sad for a few weeks as I know what this means. However I’m not so bad this year cause it’s better than being in Fla.
    All pickled.
Battery’s on winter charge then storage along with fish finder and trolling motor......

Only one-younger-sister. She’s of a similar mindset as me. And she’s not nearby either.

Bread ties. Buckets and buckets of nuts and bolts. Hundreds of coffee mugs. A million canning jars. Outdated (hideous) furniture.

When the time comes... Open house estate sale. Let it all go for nearly free. Dumpster the rest.
