Ok Chris, I painted the bumpers on my truck, a spraycan of black bedliner and a cardboard box.


Looks as good as you would imagine

 

Very well, now since the spray can bedliner offers almost no uv protection het some cans of Satin black and put about 3 coats of regular paint over the bedliner

In essence yes. It will fade and become chalky. This aimple step will merely prolong it’s life and make it so you won’t have to do it again longer

 

I painted the firewall on my 64 with it and it eventually started chipping.

 

Yep, diy bedliner isn’t anything like linex. It’s easy to touch up though

 

It is for a while till it starts looking chunky and crusty. I did it when I had the motor out thinking it would offer some protection and make it look more uniform. It had over spray from when the PO painted the truck. And it did good for a few years especially since it was under the hood and out of the sun. But it was cheap liner paint anyway so it probably did pretty good for the time it's been there.

I scrape the rails and hit rocks with the bumpers, you know, off-roading. The paint comes off and gets repainted, I have never seen chalky. Rusty, yes, chalky, no.

Stepson wedding yesterday was good time. Rather non traditional, held at a brewery/pub, the song that was sung when bride came in was a Arab love song that was sung in Arabic, the food was Greek and the music that the band played was swing/jazz

This just might be one of the best tasting pies I ever had. I wanted to buy a whole pie, but they didn't have enough. I should've called ahead.
Than we drove to Phillips and Prentice WI to visit FIL and MIL. FIL is in a rehabilitation home after heart surgery. We're spending the night at in laws house and heading home in morning. Already got over 650 miles on this weekend, another 200 tomorrow.

 

Oh don’t forget you can haul a pallet full of lumber on your roof and softopper. You most deffinately are the man!
