My 15 y/o granddaughter and I text every couple weeks. She's lived with her dad (my oldest son) there in Colorado Springs for almost 2 years and I don't think she's quite use to that weather. She lets me know how unfair it is that it's not as cold at my house.

    Good Morning All
    Had a good Sunday.
Power washed north side of house. Cleaned the green stuff off, used a eco-friendly cleaner. My little $70.00 electric power washer ran for almost 2 hours,
Temps were in 50’s, so it wasn't cold.
Went to a birthday party in afternoon. Friends from church, their son Everett turned 3. My wife and I are mentors for their kids.

    No snow here, yet.

    Today sunny, high ,,,,maybe 40

    Monday. Oh joy.
    Coffee is on.
High winds for last two days. Crazy windy. Snow at higher elevations.
Deciding if I should change bed sheets from cotton sateen to flannel yet.
Lit the pilot on the gas fireplace yesterday.

Stay warm. Stay dry. Stay safe.

Just a few miles of driving, and some minimal social interaction has already been enough.

Know that routine well. This summer I picked up a Jennifer Adams Lux sheet set at Costco. The reviews are all stellar and they are supposed to be the best of both worlds, figured I'd give them a try. Half price at the Costco roadshow when they come through but still spendy. They are awesome so far, the reviews are correct. Still not sure about winter and cold but so far great. If they aren't I have enough flannel sheets, my mother still sends me flannel sheets every Christmas LOL.

Yesterday morning here in Denver the Green Ash tree had a full complement of healthy green leaves. This morning, 24 hours later, it's totally denuded. Never seen this happen before, went from warm fall weather Saturday to freezing rain overnight into Sunday, then light snow, then 12 degrees F this morning.

Nasty cold front came ripping in Saturday about 2200, I heard the wind pick up and the temp dropped.

Then, the Denver Broncos almost played well enough to win me $2600 betting on them, but alas, $1000 gone.

Good news is I got the campers and trailer winterized, thought I had drained everything last week but went through them again and found the outside showers were still squirting water.
