It's morning.....On the "Good" part, jury is still out. Today is the beginning of final week of 2016 budget prep here @ work. My boss will be in later to review my budget assumptions. 9AM is my Urologist appointment.

So... The entire day will be about "up my ass".

Now tell me again, how is any of this good?

Morning, ugh where is a little animated gif for dragging butt?!

Jim I was so jealous of your nap yesterday that I missed the rest of your post, I've been to Lakeland more than a few times. My mother, and grandmother, lived in Haines City. Was stationed over in the Orlando area more than once too. First time there I went to rent a boat and catch one of those famous large mouth bass the lakes are known for. I called information and when she said what city I said Kiss-a-me. She laughed so hard she couldn't talk for a full minute. When she could talk she said Honey it is pronounced (and then she said Kissimmee correctly). Thanks for the memory.

While that may be true, when you have a Urologist that has hands that would make Shaquille Oneal's look tiny, when he pops that rubber glove and says "Bend over".....It's a whole 'NUTHER world!

My boss I can ignore. Marriage has taught me that valuable lesson.

When I was on recruiting duty in Asheville one of the recruiters brothers was a physical trainer for the Magic and gave him one of Shaquille Oneal's sneakers which he kept on display on his desk. I could use that thing as a snow shoe, can't imagine his hands. Next time my doctor says bend over this is going to hurt you more than it will me I will keep in mind that it could always be worse!

Hey, at least they pulled their head out and realized what everyone else already knew. There is no current replacement for this asset in our inventory.

Very true. I won't go political, but I still don't get it, too many apples for one basket IMHO.

Morning all, got to recharge the batteries out in Death Valley this weekend. Weather was perfect and the truck behaved, for the most part.

A bit of both, the blocks below the cap blocks are hollowed out to take pea gravel to add weight and interlock and they have steel pins to connect each level. It is a 40 year old wall when it went over from the water pressure it took pretty much the whole wall out, they connect together well. Backfilled a good 18" with pea gravel hopefully it will make it another 40 years and then I will not have to worry about it :) The roots of the large Oak trees don't help though.

Dang Susan hope you feel better soon! Is it cold enough there for a hot toddy? I assume your weather underground is not accurate LOL.

Great question and one I spent a week researching. Normally you would put a pipe under the base or the back side of it for drainage but my driveway is a long one with a steep slope, it would drain into the garage if I did that. Weep holes is the next solution but the blocks are old enough they didn't make them back then. In theory the gaps between the blocks work like weep holes or so the experts say. I have seen water come out of them before but only the top couple of courses. Which is why I backfilled everything with peagravel to the base, I hope it works fingers crossed....

Thanks.... was thinking something hot to drink.... Nope not accurate :anonymous:

So, no way to drain the water where you want it to go? Sump pump to keep the garage dry? :notsure:

My friends dog, I kept giving him big sticks and he would try to run past his owner, smacking him in the legs:D
