Hey, I just remembered I worked with a former SeaBee last week. He had the tat on his left forearm. Great guy to work with.

    Evening Everyone !!! :hattip:

Just got back from Dinner at Applebees and after an hour wait was able to get seated at a table and enjoyed a nice meal . I shared a table with a Air Force Vet and we had fun talking

I always get choked up when I see these missing man table settings !!!!

I don't think you can find a group any more proud than any military engineer/construction/verticle/horizontal/demo. I've was fortunate in my career to work with all 4 services in the fields and had a ball.

I thank the country for allowing me to serve. My god, how else does a 17 yr old kid get a free trip to Europe, a topnotch technical education, topnotch housing and meals provided, a nice salary so you can buy a vehicle and travel Europe in your time off? Frankly the military did more for me than I did for them. I only served six years, 32D, Fixed Station Technical Controller, and pretty much everything good that has happened to me since then was a result of those six years.

Because I haul caustic chemicals sometimes. There are 2 kinds of suits. A thick rubber suit on the order of a rain suit, and a thinner lighter fabric. As you might guess, the rubber one, which I have, is no fun to wear in Louisiana or Houston etc. in the summer. The fabric one costs over a thousand dollars.
    I need the fabric one.

My dad was an EM. I think he did 5 years active during the early stages of NAM then went reserve and retired in the 80s as a Senior Chief. I probably shoulda gone bees. My military career might have actually been a career instead of a bust. But who am I kidding. I was a fuckup. I woulda screwed that up to.

Watching the Alaska frontier show with the atz family.

The are hunting bear and they shoot one.

My wife's friend is over and sees this and has a fit.
" How can they do that? Why don't they just let it be free?"

I explained that it is for food for the winter to feed their family and is for survival.

    "You mean they eat it?"

Sometimes I hate living in Los Angeles.
