Ehhh, six of one, half dozen of the other... West Haven - yup, was my ol' stomping grounds in college. I'll keep junior in check. :D

I have a Ambient weather station WS-1001-WIFI. Uploads to weather underground without any additional modules. iPad has WunderStation app that displays all of the data so I don't have to lift my fat a$$ from the recliner.

Took today off. My favorite day of the year. Christmas is over and time to relax. I went out and played with the truck a bit.

Installed the Tech Deck extreme duty

    2 Ram balls

And the arm extension with X mount for phone

I ordered the X mount for the Magellan TXR7 Christie gave me for Christmas so when it comes in I can get it mounted. I have alot to learn about the GPS it does regular driving and off road trails as well.

    Evening Everyone !!!! :hattip:

Hope Everyone had an awesome Christmas!!

Just got home from my Brothers home in Huntington Beach and glad I'm back home . Yesterday I left to head down the hill at 0830hrs and just missed being in a 55 car pileup at the top of the Cajon pass . It was snowing and then t storm dumped hail all over the top of the pass going both directions which froze the road and cars spun out all over the NB lanes and some cars ended up in the SB lanes blocking traffic

Even before I got to the top of the Cajon pass on the SB side I was sliding around just trying to stay in my lane . By the time I was able to get passed the accident scene and head down the pass I could still see cars sliding around including my self

When I got to the middle of the pass CHP was rerouting NB traffic onto hwy 138 . That traffic was stopped and was backed up to the 210fwy 25 miles away

Finally got to my Brothers place about 1130hrs and had fun . Later we enjoyed the big meal prepared by my SIL who's a Culinary Chef . She even showed off by Sabering a bottle of champagne .Later we got to watch our favorite movie which National lampoon's Christmas Vacation

About 2000hrs I was just about to leave to head home when a friend of mine called to inform me of 15car accident on the Cajon pass at the summit in the NB lanes . So after that stayed the night and enjoyed a nice Breakfast

I left his place at 1245hrs and the traffic was light until I got to the 210/15fwy interchange .I've already been on the road 55 min and traffic was backed up from the 210/15fwy all the way up the Cajon pass 35miles . It took me 2 hrs to climb the pass which normally take half hour

This time I was caught up in the NB traffic headed to Vegas . I'm so happy I'm home now , the traffic sucked !!!!!

Love my tech deck extreme. Pictures inside the truck don't always show an accurate perspective. There are different length RAM arms you can get to help adjust them, and I have spares of most of them. Well I need to setup the Ranger yet but in the meantime PM me if you want and I will send some in different lengths for you to try. Keep what you need and send the rest back.

You all don't have any highways with speed limits of 80 MPH back there like out here but you do want to get everything mounted and test it out off road and at high speeds first before you make a decision. The fewer connections the more solid it is and the less vibrations of course. Good choice BTW!

Thanks that is a very generous offer. Right now I believe I got what I need but I don’t really know. I have another arm so when I get the X mount for the gps I will try it and see. I have a lot to learn about this gps as I am not the best with technology but I am determined to figure it out. That’s a really nice setup you have there btw

3 days ago took some steaks out of the freezer for the youngest and I, and some shrimp. Didn't think that one through the fridge is still full of Christmas dinner leftovers. But they had to be cooked tonight. In the snow. Wasn't going to mess with the charcoal in this crap so used the gaser. With the grillgrates still sears fine. Even in the snow.

    ST Turf cooking.jpg

Took longer to marinate and skewer the shrimp than it did to cook them. Of course pulled my steak when it was done proper. And let the sons keep going as per his request.

    ST Surf cooking.jpg

Chicago steak seasoning after the fact. Mn. winter surf and turf LOL, but it was fantastic.

    ST plated.jpg

Couple of inches of snow already supposed to switch to rain in the early morning. I am NOT going into work tomorrow for the weekly meeting. Doubt many will be anyhow. Not shoveling this white chit either see what the weather does. Going to be a mess no matter how you look at it.

We had 4 days off anyway. With a 4/10 shedule only off 2 extra days then back into weekend mode. Short day Monday then off again for national hangover day. Most take vacation this time of year anyway because you can combine holidays/weekends in conjunction. So in all this I would have been off for 17 days at the expense of 5 or 6 leave days at the "legit" price. Turned in time for pay Thursday so a paycheck is coming...going to get some metal detector time tomorrow morning, a little Harley time maybe tomorrow afternoon or the next day. Probably get some more range time with the wife, a tube of tennis balls and her new AR. Got the new bumper coming and gotta put that on....whew! I'm beat! And that is just one week. Damn I can't wait till I retire.

Good morning everyone, the weather has been unseasonably warm. Gonna be tough when it’s gets real, I will take the warm stuff for now. Make it a good one.
