You might be surprised , we do have a duty to protect them inside too and it depends on the type of the system they have. We are holding half the crew who murdered one of ours...

That’s good news! I can only hope she’s not severely traumatized from this ordeal. Sadly, I don’t know how she wouldn’t be.
Can we all have just a few minutes alone with him? Please?

I’m sorry to hear that! That’s gotta be tough!

An innocent person just doing their job or living their life and in a blink of an eye some scumbag can destroy so many peoples lives.

Found out yesterday that when I hit 65 HAVE to start drawing on my pension at work. Or take lump sum. Was thinking of going to 67 but that extra pension money would pretty much all go into taxes if I keep working. Actually was looking at punching out by now or at least by 62. But even where I work what I would have to pay in medical insurance until I hit 65 is insane. Don't think there is an easy answer. Right now I just need to make it alive to retirement when ever that is and hopefully more than a few years after if I do. Shit, now I'm depressed too!

In 2010 the company stopped funding our pension. Still have 401k.
So what ever my pension was worth in 2010 that's all it will be worth when I retire. Now our pension fund is going to be handled by some insurance company. Just started getting details about this week. So far my choices are, leave it and at 65 get a monthly check or take a full payment now.
So do I take it now and deal with the taxes or hope it's still there when I retire.
Haven't seen a choice of doing a rollover.

Actually I finally enrolled in TriCare about a year ago, finally. Retired Sr. Chief I work with talked me into it my experience with Champus was a disaster prior to TriCare. TriCare is picking up a lot of my expenses from my copay side. I've been pissing away money for years by not using them :anonymous: So yes TriCare is an option but not sure of how that works as primary insurance. Yet. Something I really need to look into.

That is an ugly picture, ugh. I would push someone to see if rollover is an option and someone is not saying anything. That is the only option I would take. But by leaving it where it is guess that is taking an option. You would come out ahead if you could invest it yourself over an insurance company and what they take out of it. But the taxes would be a huge dent.

I have an option of lump sum or monthly payments and I really like the idea of monthly payments. Not sure yet and don't have to decide right now.

Wow that is a dice roll I would not want to be facing :{ If you wait till 65 how stable is the insurance company will they be there after you turn 65 ? . I would be heading for a professional but even then they will be reading tea leaves or auguries which ever suits the occasion..

Wonder if you can take a full payment into a Roth IRA? I "think" as long as you don't cash the check you don't pay taxes on it.
