You’ll probably want to look somewhere other than VA Beach, they have those gates for hurricane evacuation control.

I cant believe these snow depth totals in the Eastern Sierra's especially at Mammoth lakes and Mammoth mtn . A friend of mine lives in Mammoth lakes and at a elevation of 7881'

How about 376" or 31' average at lower elevations and at higher elevations 560" or 47' average

    That's alot of snow !!!!!

We got a little snow on one of the hilltops just east of Quartzsite. Not sure of the elevation but it's not too many miles east of Blythe. Going up there yesterday morning there were temps between 29 and 34 when after sun up. I think I got up there around 0830 and it was 36 in the campground.

To have snow covered peaks at your elevation is impressive !!

The Marianas Rancho foothills that run between Hesperia , Apple Valley and then into the Lucerne Valley at 4k ft elev still have some snow . The North slopes of both the San Gabriel and San Bernardino mtns have a deep snow pack

Nah someone has to drive out there and close them by hand. After they get the lock open with a key.

I for one have always appreciated your back up snow blowers. If I had more room in the garage I would too. But my backup is a shovel :pout: And do have backup shovels. Always some pucker factor involved when starting or using a single blower.

Must have put those in the last 30 years or so. Was stationed at Little Creek in VA Beach. And Portsmouth. And of course Norfolk, didn't have them back then.

Lived in a single wide trailer down in Currituck, NC. couple hundred yards from the ocean. Seen them turn the Caratoke Hwy into Northbound only for traffic out of Nags Head more than once for hurricanes. Always hoped those tie down straps would keep the trailer in place. Looked on google and it is still there. Had to replace sections of he walls and floor more than once from the rain that got driven in.
