Happy and sad you get to go back to work.... although now you'll see what the rest of us go through to keep up with all the non-working folks' posts :p :D Hope the shoulder is really ready and doesn't give you too much trouble/pain.

thanks sue the pain is expected but i've lived with it everyday for years with my back. i don't talk about it much because there's just not much use. the boss always figured it would be my back that caused me to leave that's why i'd been stock piling leave. it's just going to be another pain to get used to no biggie. i don't take my pain pills unless it gets really bad at this point in life not much choice but to keep working anyway.

When I joined the military @ 18 I didn't want an office job... nope, wanted a physical, outside job. Well, I got that and as I got older, I wish someone had told me "don't do it" oh, well, such is life... now I spend my days sitting

that's funny i was the opposite. i'd spent my youth doing hard work and left for the service with what i thought would be a good comfortable job as an air traffic controller which i was but it wasn't i spent my whole time in a tactical unit and in the field almost the whole time. then got out and had to support the two of us so took whatever job i could find. and a painter/ body man was born and i've been nasty dirty ever since

you couldn't get a job as an air traffic controller on the outside? I was a painter/body "man" on the inside. Know the dirt all too well

i took my faa exam as soon as i got out and passed with flying colors then was told there were no job openings? this was in the late 80's when they were short on controllers so it didn't make sense. i had to su;port us so found a job and we bought our first house. a few months after we'd moved in i got a job offer for atlanta. being young and stupid i turned it down thinking you know we'd just bought a house and life was moving along it wasn't a good time. in hind sight i should have told christie to move in with her mom, sell the house, and i'd come get her when i got out of the accademy. but i didn't and here we are. as the greatest man in my life taought me "boy if your gonna be stupid you better be tough" thanks Paw Paw

    Chris ...

Take it easy the first week and don't overwork that shoulder . Slowly build up to your pain tolerance and don't work past it . Once you know your limits then push to just below that

Thanks. It's not too bad... doc gave me some drops to use.... should be gone in a day or two. It's nothing like your shoulder, so I consider myself lucky

Just be careful and don't overdo it !!

I had a bad full circumference labrum tear on my r/shoulder back in 2001 that I messed up at work that took 10 anchors to repair it . I was out for 6 months and when the doctors cleared me they said I could go back to work as a heavy duty diesel mechanic

Within just 6 months I was experiencing constant sharp pain . 3 months later I felt something pop in my shoulder while pulling a clutch on a semi . After seeing the surgeon who did the surgery I was diagnosed with another full circumference labrum tear in the same shoulder

Listen to your shoulder and don't push past the pain, the shoulder has to last a long time.
