What movies are you watching?

Are black snakes venomous?

 

Not sure down in Va. but even in the North they get 6 foot long. Not venomous but can be huge. Allegheny black ratsnake I believe the somewhat official name for them. Love rock piles and old barns. And wood chuck holes.

Last October hunted Cook County on the North Shore of Lake Superior, as usual. Main road that I take logging spurs off from isn't too bad shape for a truck or 4x4 or Ranger



One morning was coming back out from a logging spur in the Ranger and sitting there ready to make a right back onto the main road saw one of these



Except it was covered in mud and not sure how it could make it a mile down that county road with branches overhanging. And beaver dams flooding the road. But we never seen it again so it must have made it all the way though.

Been checking Google Maps since to see if they have the road on it and the buggy. Lake and Cook County don't really have much of anything for Google Maps it is literally in the middle of no where. This weekend the buggy, my friend and I finally showed up on Google Maps Street view.

The 5 freeway in Orange County seems like it has had the same construction going on since the early 90’s.
The 405....that one I avoid at all costs.

 

No. they are the most common snake around here. some say they will kill copperheads. they keep the rodent population down. most people leave them be! but as Cold Iron said they get huge. 6ft’er are common and pretty thick.

Ok, here's the plan. You're going to bring the Ranger next year, bring it over to my shop, we'll build up a dummy solar array and put a stove pipe on the roof of your dogbox to make it look like you have a wood stove. Then we're going to park your Ranger in the LTVA about 50' from the restrooms, set out a few chairs, fire ring and make those clowns think that's your mini motorhome. You will have a gathering everyday for the 1st three months....just string them along and don't let them see inside.

Just got back home from eating a nice Sunday evening Steak dinner at a local Diner here in town !!!

Had a New York strip steak served med well , mashed potatoes and gravy and mixed vegetables . To make the steak taste better I drowned it in A1 steak sauce !!!!

It was tasty !!!
