This is a great adventure story (and one of my favorite books) that I read in my 20's when I lived on Kauai. In short, it's about the author (Norwegian ethnologist, Thor Heyerdahl) that set out to prove his migration theory that the Polynesian Islands were populated by native South American Indians. He got permission from Peruvian government to cut down balsa trees to make a traditional raft and he sailed his tiny raft (named the KON-TIKI) 4,300 nautical miles in 101 days, where they eventually crash landed on the uninhabited island of Raroia in the South Pacific. They also released a movie in 2012 but as they say, "it's never as good as the book".

This is kinda cool.. I bought this vintage copy of the book on e-bay a while back and it has this inscription. "To my dearest husband who is far across these very seas, Cathrine, 12/25/57"
I'm assuming that Cathrines hubby was stationed in the South Pacific during X-Mas 1957. It's just kinda neat to think that this book has been across the Pacific a couple of times and then ended up with me..

Mike I just had a fuel injection service done on my Tacoma by a local automotive repair shop today .Cant believe how much smoother it idles and throttle response is awesome


How often should this be done ???? , I had this done 2 yrs ago at 54k miles which was 17k miles ago (had my 60k mile service done at that time) and it ran awesome then . Was noticing a hesitation on off idle and low speed for a few months now and the main reason I asked for a fuel injection service

To be clear.
You had a injection service done where they open the fuel line and run chemicals through the fuel system and injectors or
A induction service where they run chemicals through the intake and clean the throttle body and the intake throat ?
