Hey now you're in my hangouts! Flickr is down for a migration or I'd post a bunch of my pictures. I shoot a lot of Eagles over there. Heard they taste like red tail hawk :anonymous:. As long as you went to Durand hope you stopped at Eau Galle Cheese Factory.

And then you went down to Buffalo County. Gawd damn Flickr have lots of pics from there too... Heard there might be a large rack buck or 2 in Buffalo. Or 3 or...

Heads up Dan the Stockholm pie factory in Red Wing that they recently opened is NOT the same as Stockholm. Not ever close. For me it is worth it to cross the River and go to Stockholm. Stockholm Pie Shop is the answer to World Peace :D And thank you for posting the picture of it the other day it really helped calm me down!

Bastage! You are just rubbing it in now...

When the weather is bad here it is really bad. For a lot of the year and makes you start to think...

But when it is good it is damn good. Too many heat strokes in some damn sand box in hell has taken its toll. 59° today this evening was beautiful, just freaking glorious.

    win 21 and Dick Plant.jpg

Monday my friend left for Mo. at 0230 and picked up his custom stocked Winchester 21 from Weing and was home at 1900 pleased as punch. After shooting it tonight finally he is even more pleased. I'm happy with my new toy too. Yes 2" does make a big difference LOL.

Love the straight grip. Did he have the LOP shortened?

She's the one who told me and, since she was wearing a bikini, there were no visible bruises to show she was beaten into submission. I tend to believe her.

That straight grip long tang even has a palm swell. A lot more than LOP.. Drop at comb, drop at heel, and most importantly pitch. Those old tough bastards in the 1930's had some wicked drop at heel and pitch and kicked like a mule. When you go to a fitting with Wenig they build the gun up with putty and you shoot it until you nail it. And it shoots where you look.

Jon ended up with the fitter that fits Kim Rhodes, and he has been doing it for 45 years. When Kim comes in for a fitting they drop everything to get it done ASAP.

I watched Kim win the gold medal at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, making her the youngest female gold medalist in the history of Olympic shooting. In 2016 I got home from work in time to see her win the bronze in the shoot off in Rio. Which made her the first U.S. Olympian to qualify for an Olympic team on five different continents.

Me I am keeping my daytime job LOL. But I am hoping we can meet up sometime to discuss Point of Impact, shooting style, etc. And you are always welcome to contact me anytime. If we all had unlimited money and were talented more than the average bear then the path is less difficult. I am not and like I said keeping my daytime job :)

Yeah me too... That rig would be rusted to hell and back anyplace North of I-40.

Dated a woman for awhile and made the mistake of letting her drive my Taco on a 10 mile loop that is classified as a road. Well kind of it is listed as a road but it is a pretty tight trail with the tag alders.

She didn't like the branches scratching on her side despite me screaming at her to keep it in the middle of the trail, almost buried us in the bogs on the right side so many times I lost count. Never will get those scratches out. Ever.

I'm going with the wife was driving...

Keeping your day job? I was figuring you'd retire for the second time, move to San Antonio and become an instructor.

Good morning all. I wasn't able to log on yesterday to keep up. Work turned into a shit show and I went to my daughter's FFA banquet last night.

@Cypherian, the kid is going on a field trip this weekend to the University of Dellaware for some kind of horseshoe crab study event. Care to chaperone with the serious looking dog? I did let her know that if she ends up in prison, "I know a guy..." :D
