Kevin has it right, Good Monday Tuesday morning. I am so confused but that isn't hard for me to do as I get older... Monday morning reports on Tuesday morning o_O

Great questions Tim, no need to be sorry for them! For the smoker yes I use the "pit" probe at the grate level. The gauges on smokers and grills are normally not very accurate, plus are not located in the right place, you want them at meat level. On the grills I don't worry about it so much because it isn't as critical. And after awhile you learn your grills and have a good idea what temps they are and can check with the back of your hand.

The Automatic Temperature Controller for the Weber Smokey Mountain smoker is a 4 channel, one grate probe and 3 meat probes. And yes once in awhile I do use all 3 probes or sometimes 2 of them. If smoking a couple of pork shoulders I will often only probe the smallest one then move it to the larger one when the smaller one is done. But doing 3 pork loins for Canadian bacon will use all 3 probes. I really don't want to dry them out and am careful with them.

If you have 4 channels you don't have to use them all, but are available if you do want them. I have not used the new Thermoworks Signals 4 channel so have no experience with it. But can't imagine it isn't also a great product.

Good morning. Time to schedule labs again unless the doc want to use my last one for my CDL. But I think it's close to 90 days old so maybe not. Yup, Tuesday and close enough to the end of the month to get paperwork done. Temps are supposed to start ratcheting up again.

And my central air quit.... Contactor burnt up. Already have new one installed and house is cooling.

Weather guessers are saying nothing above 100 this week and thru Thursday next week. But it's creeping up on us. We've had a mild spring. Almost comparable with the rest of the states. Sounds like it's hotter at your house than here.

    Morning all

Trying to decide between using my friends lift, removing my Ucas, buying a 20 ton press and replacing the bushings myself, or go to my local shop and paying them to do the work.

Harbor freight press is $190 and would do the job.

Check which model some of the Harbor Fright ones have problems with the plates cracking in half .

Might be better all around to just pay a shop to do it .

If I had time to do the work I'd buy the press. Not something a person uses alot but I've often bought tools that pay for themselves in the 1st use and they last years afterward. HF tolls aren't always a great fit and finish but they are leaps above what they were and getting better. That thing should last years afterward.

    Story time.

So , I go to my brothers wedding an 1 1/2 away. Before I go I cleaned the bed of my truck before I head to the car wash. I put my fishing vest in bed of truck behind my seat and head to clean her up. That done I head out. I get to the wedding and notice my vest not there! I’m like WTF did someone steal it when I stopped to get a card or something? Or did it blow out? Unlikely at 65-70 MPH. I mean I drive faster than 80 into work sometimes with my dirty work pants in back and they never blow out. And vest is heavier with shit in it like bottled water and such.

Then I started to think about the vacuum that sucks the water off and wondered.... could it be possible it got sucked out? So I call and had someone look when they had the chance. They call me back ,and wouldn’t you know it? It was found and I was able to go get it.
I’m also happy I didn’t have my rod and reel in back or it would have been ruined and I would have to mail it out for a replacement as it has a 15 year warranty on it. Friggin lucky fuck

In our area we have pincher bugs called earwigs. Sometimes they invade an outside unit getting in between the contacts of an open relay. I always try to replace with a closed relay. [IMG]

Worst thing about MS.....I can't handle heat. Anything above 80°/85° and I get really weak. Got the house cooled back to 70°

I saw that vid and know this would do the job.

I don't need a press, but for the few times I would use it, $190 isn't bad and the reviews have been good enough so far.

Or I can pull the arms and take it to a shop. I just don't have the time right now.
