Well weather has been great all weekend, just fantastic. Got to shoot 5 stand yesterday morning and again this morning at a different club. But I am too freaking old to work all day Friday and then most of the night Saturday. Couple of hours sleep here and there and feel like I got beat up. Still feel that way.

Basically only got to eat one meal yesterday started at 9 PM and didn't finish until 11:30 that is what I get for getting fancy but damn it is was good.

Apple wood smoke, 250° for 2.5 hours. Twice baked potato with blue cheese and bacon, butter, garlic salt and pepper. Filet Mignon cubes with onions between slices. Wrapped in bacon. Dusted with Pitfaced Meat Massage. Anaheim pepper filled with crab meat and cream cheese, wrapped in bacon and more Meat Massage of course.

I'm thinking you're liking the new paved driveway. That has to be easier than gravel, and looks great! My chicken (boneless skinless thighs) and veggies have been marinating for almost an hour and I should get up and start assembling things. But I feel more like a nap right now and just sat down. Think it is going to be another late supper tonight.

Thank you, we have 12 acres. 2 acres is yard.
A lot to take care of, but when done I enjoy.
All the Norway Spruce trees you see I planted about 10 years ago.

Awesome! It’s obvious you take really good care of it too. I like how you have lined the driveway with the rocks. It adds such a nice look.
How big were the trees when you planted them?

The trees I got from county agriculture office. They sell them in groups of 50. They are bare root and 12-18 inches tall.

Back at it tomorrow morning. My seasonal helpers pulled out this morning and headed for home. So it's all on me for the summer. The project list has been pretty well wiped clean except for a couple. These are things that have always been on the list but have changed spots on the list due to priority changes. These will be re-prioritized by weather, timing, help needed, etc. But we'll start the summer season with some shoreline clean up and brushing then get the equipment in for maintenance and inspections. While that's going on I have some fabrication to do. When services are done, more brushing till the middle/end of August then go back to the project I was doing in December when we furloughed. It's going to be hot and it's going to suck a little but it won't be very strenuous and most of my time will be on equipment. Somewhere in there I'll probably take more time off. Sounds doable. Hopefully nothing comes off the rails.
