Hose trip averted. Not going to work. Trying to save on OT. That furlough didn't do us any favors.

My favorite music I listen to on Slacker Radio is heavy metal and one of the stations is called " Masters of Metal"

Both of my ears have been ringing loudly for 37 years and it's from firing a M2 .50 machine gun and M60 machine gun without hearing protection and also being stationed aboard Military Airbase

I definitely need hearing aids now do to this as my last hearing test showed hearing loss . Sadly the VA will only allow 10% disability

You were in the Prentice area then  I was halfway between there and the MRC club in Rib Lake about 15 minutes away. Not sure there will be anything left in Rib Lake this time next year. The lady that owns the cafe cooked, waitress and cleaned. Said she couldn't find help to hire anymore. Other hotel in town has been closed down since March, the place stayed at was a 4 room roadside old fashioned motel the Rib Waters Inn.

Just opened the cab to the buggy to drive it off the trailer and looks like the skeeters and bugs that were trapped inside didn't make it through the night, dead ones everywhere.

The bastages were thick. But a lot less inside than outside yesterday. Didn't find any ticks on me last night when I got home so all is good.

I just use foam anymore. Most of what I do at work don't require earplugs. I use to use muffs alot but now they're kinda bulky and just cause more sweat. I may get another set for when I have a bunch of metal grinding/cutting.

Not sure why I liked a post saying that you needed surgery??? Seems like you're pretty excited about it though. GL with it!

Hey Martin64 I've been meaning to take a couple days to venture out to panamint valley near Death Valley to see the wild burros there. Maybe this weekend.

My nickname for a few years in the 80's was Chigger. Was stationed in the Tidewater area and lived down in Currituck, NC. I just had to go archery hunting in the Great Dismal Swamp for deer opener. Broke 100° but stayed in the swamp until dark. Coming out the snakes were unreal, and a lot of them were cottonmouths that didn't move out of the path, some came at me. I cut through a patch of really tall reeds and swamp grass for ~quarter mile to the truck to avoid the rest of them.

Ended up with the worst case of chiggers the doctors had ever seen, rid a chig, chig a way, finger nail polish, nothing worked. Ex wouldn't even let me stay in the house so stayed on board ship. Itchy red bumps from head to toe, I couldn't even sleep.

My grandfather worked the water pumps in the coal mines and I remembered he told me when he was young deer hunting in WV he got chiggers bad and he discovered diesel fuel killed them. I eventually rolled around in some Diesel Fuel Marine (DFM) when a spill happened in a compartment, it killed the little red commie bastards in no time. And I finally got some sleep. Gawd that was a miserable time.

First thing I did was When I bought my house was put a flag up.
When I got home I saw it was made in China! Boy was I EFFIN PISSED! I went back to Home Depot and told them what was up. I said I’m pretty sure Chinese flags are made in America! I’m taking my business elsewhere.
Two days later I stopped into the Senators office in Nashua ,NH and gave some of my mind regarding this.

I'm in Yuma. Not sure what their habits up there are, but I'd guess they want shade and water. They move more in the morning and evenings and shade up in the day. You're probably more apt to see small groups of bachelor 2 year old and older Jacks. Some of the older breeding Jacks will be jockying with each other. Just after the ginnys give birth they'll be breeding back soon. Find manure piles and soon enough you'll find a trail.
