    Lots of official rules and no one enforces them, they just make the lawyers happy.
    I have non carb approved jerry cans and no one has ever stopped me from filling them or carrying them, yes we have laws but no one really cares. Now if something happens, the lawyers can say that was against the law, a nice CYA for them.
    The only time I ever cared was when I saw someone filling one in the back of their truck, I made them stop and put it on the ground.

    That is just stupidity.

    Bozeman/Belgrade is expensive. A 2 bedroom rental will cost you over $1000/month. Buying a no frills 3 bed house On a half acre lot would be at least $350k, might be able to find a condo for $250k. If you want some land around the house plan on $700k and up.

    Other areas in MT are cheaper but jobs are few and far between in those areas.

    And thats why prices are so high here....people like you who are used to paying sky high prices. Before folks from CA and other high population states started moving here housing was more like $400 for a rental and $200k could buy you a 4 bed house on 5 acres.

    Just noticed you live close, I am in Spokane. We took advantage of the housing pricing skyrocketing last year, sold two houses, one in Kendall Yards for double what we paid 4 years prior and got probably 3 times what our other house was worth.

    The wife and I bought in Liberty Lake 10 years ago and loved it. A small town feel with 3 golf courses, no crime and a nice little lake 3 minutes from the house.
    Now they are building homes and apartments as fast as they can. The damn traffic is ridiculous with only 2 options to access the freeway. Our little slice of heaven is starting to go to hell.
