It amazes me how I have no rights at all, and can be terminated at anytime, for any reason; at will my ass. The working people of this country keep getting screwed.

    Mom was an operator in the 50's. Somewhere is a picture of her in the Ukiah Daily Journal that was cut out and saved. Hadn't seen it in years. Equipment had been up graded a few times since your horn picture.

    Good evening. Good day's work. Doing some road maintenance while the dump truck is still in the shop. Little dusty but you can't always do things in order when you're by yourself. So I'll water everything in tomorrow when I finish getting the rocky stuff capped.

    I use to sit in a chair next to her and watch them plug and unplug all those connections.

    everyone needs something that they can always turn to with some level of excitement. hobbies or what not.
    for me its quilting in the winter - i need the tedious, long hours and details to occupy my mind and teach me patience.
    and in the summer its camping and traveling - get out, see beautiful places and just unplug for a while.

    i do find it amusing that your hobby is basically your work but you look forward to it. all about the "end user" i suppose
