    Good Morning Everyone !!!! :hattip:

    Currently 95° clear skies high temp of 97° and windy with winds expected to be 25mph

    Went out to the garage a few minutes ago and found a wheel tape weight laying on the garage floor behind the r/rear tire of my truck

    Can't believe how many times I've had to go to a tire store to balance these tires/wheels from the tape weights falling off . It's either the glue on the tape weights is not as good as before or the person balancing them is not prepping the surface correctly


    I just had the tires balanced back in February maybe no more than maybe 4k miles ago . I looked at the tape weight and there's no evidence of it being hit by anything

    I've heard of people using duct tape over these wheel weights to secure them better

    That’s what tape weights do.
    FALL OFF.
    with all the heat, etc I’m surprised it stayed on that long. Tape weights last about a year up here.
    You want them to stay on? Use chrome tape over the weights. It’s the only way the weights stay on our track cars.

    got new tires a few weeks ago and already been back once for a rebalance. last time I got new tires I was in 4 or 5 times to rebalance within the first couple of weeks. they had to use the sticky weights, the pinch on ones just dont stay put on Toyota wheels.
