It says you need to to shake it a few more times.

 

So as a out loud thought. Would it be a good idea in those situations to use a wad in the shell to keep it packed against the primer?

not that i know of. you pick powders that fill the case without compressing it following a good reload manual. wads may be possible. we never figured what blew the Blackhawk. no bullet in barrel and using W296 in .44mag the case was pretty full as i recall! thats been along time ago. just adding info for the conversation on the blowup in the gentlemans hand

 

more than 3 shakes is considered playing with it!!

 

The over 50 rule allows up to 6 shakes. I read it on the internet.

Truck is at the dealer for its first oil change and a recall (HVAC blower motor) which they need to order the part for and when it comes in we will need to bring it back.

Everybody stay safe out there and try to keep cool.

We are only supposed to be in the mid 80’s here.
