Happy Birthday, hope it is a good one!

Finish packing today, buying a week's worth of food pre cooking, etc. Underway at 0600 tomorrow morning hope to be in the woods with the dog hunting ruffies by 1500. It is my equivalent of Christmas Eve :D Or maybe that already started got up at 0400 because I couldn't sleep and cleaned last year's sticks and feathers out of the hunting vest, took out the 12 ga. shells and loaded up with purple 16 ga. shells. The pup has been watching me the whole time with huge eyes, he knows something is up and have a feeling he remembers last year.

Every time I see that hammer gun of yours something wells up inside me and I have a hankering to pick up a classic German\Austrian made hammer gun with beautiful heavy engraving. But then reality sets in and hunting with flushers a hammer gun isn't the best option in my case. However talk about a class act.... I am on the hunt for an Ithaca NID 16 with modern stock dimensions but not in a hurry. Yet. Browning is soon releasing the Sweet 16 at 5 3/4 pounds but really don't want to chase after my hulls in the woods or shooting clays so will likely pass.

Hi my name is Mike and I have an addiction to the 16 and purple shells.

thanks jim it's a slow process as funds are limited and having the 4cylinder adds a challenge and really makes me look at all aspects of what i consider doing with weight considerations. it's been fun though wheeling and dealing and trying to get nice things done as frugally as possible

I understand. I've been hesitant on even going up one Tar size do to added weight. I chose the Pmetric in this tire and they claim to be 44lbs. That's a 5.5lb increase per tar than the OEM tars. My existing wheels are the same weight as the 4Runner wheels. So hopefully all will be good.
