My work here is done for the morning.

 

Cleaning out the Ram for trade in prep. A guy can sure tuck away some shtuff in his truck. 1 medium box from gloveboxes and center console bin. 1 bucket of stuff from door pockets and under backseat bins. Need to get one more bucket or box for ammo can toolboxes and floor bins contents (tow straps and jumper cables). I about forgot how much shtuff my prep-mindedness has me stowing in the truck. Probably get an extra 1-2 mpgs ...

 

Where's the candles and candy bars? I saw the blanket....

 

I've been told by nurses in the recovery room while the anesthesia is wearing off I'm a funny person

Try to drink as much water as possible , at least 4 bottles per day . Also water with a slice of lemon helps rehydrate you . As for Gatorade be careful how much you drink of it as the older version of Gatorade has alot of sugar . Their G2 variant has less sugar and is much healthier

yup, that i know!. where we hunt there is a huge spring comin out of the side of the mtn way up in the middle of no where. runs like 150gpm all year. I keep a cup there, its the coldest, best tasting water ive ever had

 

Dang man! That's a sweet smallie! And, yes, catch and release is all I do too...unless it's trout ftom a clean stream that I trust to eat out of. I haven't been as much as I'd like to be this year, but maybe fall will be a different story. Take care of yourself Dewayne

 

That one is from Lake Moommaw I think. dont know if you have fished it. its a very deep mountain lake in Bath at the pump storeage power plant! you have a good one also

 

Finally getting towards normal Summer time temps !!!!

 

There's a spring like that on the hike up Dickey Knob near Sugar Grove where my Dad's people lived. Some of my best childhood memories are of hiking to the top and drinking from that spring coming and going. Probably 7yo to 10yo every Summer. Hadn't thought about that in forever...thanks for bringing it to mind.

 

Holey smokes ... Raccoon Branch campground. Spent many nights sleeping in the bed of that old '69 Dodge pickup at that campground.

And Great Uncle Colonel would play guitar around the campfire and we'd all sing along. Dust in here all sudden, I need to wipe my eyes.
