    @MTgirl

    Here's a USGS map of the Owens Valley showing 7 days of 2.5 or greater quakes . This shows activity from Ridgecrest to Mt Whitney to the North , This is a distance of 91 miles

    I also turned on the terrain feature and US faults locations so you can see the direction the recent activity in relation to the mapped US faults in this area . You can also see the recent swarm to the North , that's the Coso volcanic field in Coso Junction

    To the South just below Ridgecrest you see a distinctive red line West to East , that's the Garlock fault and this fault connects to the San Andreas to the West

    Read this link and it'll give you an idea what might be happening in this area

    Morning everybody. Little stiff and sore, hit up the 600 mg ibuprofen bottle with my coffee. Had a good day yesterday. My Dad, Brother and I went to the cabin and repaired the JD tractor. Took some time to get everything lined up just right but we took our time and she is mowing better than before. Brother and I had to keep slowing Dad down, telling him we would do the work, but to no avail. Dad is 81 and we notice he is ever so slightly slowing down, but he pushes onward. I think these 'project's we always seem to have are what keeps him going. I thank the Big Man all the time for keeping Dad with us! Family reunion today, will be lots and lots of good food! Picking a few grapes off our vine for family members who asked for some. Vine is a descendant from my Grand-pap's vine. In a way, it's like I bring the memory of Pap to the reunion. Did I ever say how I love Sundays? Happy Sunday everyone!

    Nice!
    That's what keeps the old timers going. My Dad was the same.
    He was an electrician and he kept his long time core customers right up till the end.
