these guys trail ride Tenn walking horses in the mountains. you can wrap the skin around the rim on the back of you saddle and it will stick just like you glued it on

No offense to anyone here. But I have met three kinds of Mountain Folks, and I don't mean Country Folks.

Straight up "Government doesn't know they exist or care they exist, cops avoid, never heard of power lines or indoor plumbing, can't tell you what "modern" anything is" MOUNTAIN FOLKS: As follows -

Those you can get along with fine -
Those that make the hair on your neck stand up -
And those you know that you either have to avoid or shoot -

I've had run ins with all three types. And I am what is considered a Country Boy at heart.

That should be on every vehicle. I had no idea that anything like that even existed.

Dang. Heat is usually what eventually kills a transmission. How good would that be if every vehicle had that on it?!

 

when i talk mtn. folks its people that are self efficent. live up the hollows and take care of each other. they eat plenty of wild game. can veggies from garden for the winter. pick apples n pears to can, butcher beef, hogs and have chickens for eggs and to eat.gather berries and mushrooms and ramps.cure their own bacon and hocks. they are jacks of all trades. can do about anything. and Yes if you go up the hollow you better have a reason to be there. my grandparents never had running water but did eventually get electric. grandma cooked on a wood stove till then, we had a cellar for storning can food and a wooden barrel for cider.my job as a kid was to bring spring water to the pantry. we had a smoke house and ice house.ice from the creek was stored in it covered in sawdust. apples and pears were canned also. and yes if a stranger came nosing around he would get shot at. one time family in house at nite. dad saw someone looking in the window. he rolled his ass running down the lane with a 12gauge.neighbor over the hill said he was still running when he went by their house!!

 

That is the kind you can get along with type to me. Old school country folks.

Dude, I have some hair raising stories of the other two types I mentioned. Now granted, my apologies, I failed to mention this was 25 or so years ago.
