Very cold here last night as well. In the 40's, a bit unusual.

You guys get it may more than here. Ours is just occasional. When I was stationed out there I remember it so bad I had to hit the windshield wipers on a few commutes to work. We're up to 46% today. At night it'll move in and get up to 30-50% and usually burns off down to 10-20%. My youngest boy is stationed out there now.

I used to be stationed at DM and lived in Benson. Loved Arizona summer nights and how easy it was to maintain my swamp cooler.

We have "rumors" of rain right now - big bands of gulf moisture saturating everywhere from San Antonio to Oklahoma. As soon as a cold front hits, it's going to piss rain.

Until then, we're at the "Goddamn it rain already!!" stage. Swamp Factor 5.

Fully agree. Even I keep a vest and a jacket in my work truck and Jeep year 'round. Even have a full change of clothes in a locker out in the field because you just never know. I do need to get a few new "space blankets" to carry in the vehicles. The last ones have holes.worn in the plastic covers and need to be tossed.

I haven't seen the green surplus blankets in a while. I carried one I'd cut in half for years until both halves all but disintegrated. I'm sure they're still out there, just haven't seen them.
