Evening Everyone !!!! :hattip: just got back to my Hospital room from an outing / dinner at the Ontario Ca Elks lodge . Had a nice Lasagna dinner with Italian bread , Salad and chocolate brownies for dessert

At the end of the Evening the local Elks chapter invited us into a room where all the members clapped as we entered and then the executive officer greeted us . This officer then asked ea of our names Military service , rank then time in service

On the way out of the room I had many Elks members shaking my hand and taking my picture

Earlier this Evening a large fire broke out near Calimesa Ca . This fire was only 12 miles from the VA hospital and alot of nurses , Doctors and staff were concerned . Alot of them have homes near there and the hospitals location close to dry hillsides

It's rained here for the last three days, pasture and yard are flooded, pond is out of it's banks, horse has a few dry spots to stand in.. Cleared up a bit this morning, no where near a frost here, mid 80s during the day and a Florida chill at 65 for tonight and tomorrow.. Florida Fall is here!! :)

That was the fire near the VA hospital , and it's very windy here today . Last night heading home from the Elks lodge our bus driver was struggling to keep the bus from losing control

Good morning! The fire is just two miles away. A little too close for my tastes. It looks like it is snowing and the smell is just overwhelming. My mom who is closer has her truck packed and ready to go. Of course my dad had his knee surgery yesterday and is still in the hospital. What a Friday so far.

My thoughts go out to anyone that is affected by this fire.

Stay safe Chance !!!!! , as for your Dad he's safe and in good care at the hospital and they've SOP's / Protocols set in place for emergencies such as this . They can move him to safer ground if need be

The VA here has the same emergency plan set in place
