Funny I heard that story along with the one of the guy who committed suicide in a hanger by pulling the ejection system while sitting in the front seat of ... RF4C. I was told the story and shown the hanger (1610 BAFB) and yes there was a pretty damn good dent in two of the steel roof trusses I never could verify if it was true or not. The roof btw was over 100 feet up. What I can say is the RF4C did have ground zero Martin Baker ejection seats in it,they could eject you far enough up on their own rockets to allow for the seat chute to open and you come back and land "Mostly Ok" as the egress guys explained. They also explained you do not want to stand near the wing tips as depending on which seat went they tended to come down right off the wing tips in calm wind. How they knew or know that no idea but I was not arguing so it was S.O.P never stand right near the wing tips when applying power to the plane even if the seats were pinned.

I had BLT wraps (bacon and tomato wrapped in lettuce). Still doing less/no carbs. Still losing weight I don't need to be packing around. I really wanted a taco today.

 

We'll probably cheat a little next week. It's hard to travel and keep this up. A guy can only eat so many pork rinds, jerky and apples.

I was going to smoke a bunch of stuff tonight to take up to the North Shore. But running late with work and it is ~30° with 30-40 mph winds snow, sleet and rain mix. And dark now of course damn work thing gets in the way once again. So will have to wait until tomorrow now and freeze it all overnight, leave Sunday morning for 2 weeks. Same routine tomorrow without the wind, upper 20's low 30's snow, sleet and rain. 6" of white stuff on the ground where I am going hope it melts as soon as I get there. Or sooner but doesn't look like it.

 

I'm going to make more jerky and dry a bunch of apples during the week. I'm going to have to work this Sunday just to be sure I'm done with this project before I leave. I'm suppose (to be ready) to start another project when I get back. It needs to be done in the event the CR runs out and they don't continue to continue the continuing resolution.

I live on pork rinds on niteshift. no sure they just go down good. never eat a big meal on nites. just nibble all nite

 

So how many grams of net carbs a day are you trying to stay under? I have been bad about carbs this last year and need to get back to eliminating them until my weight gets back to where it should be. Normally when doing it I try to stay at 20 or under so no fruit for me of any type. Last Spring when I did it for a couple of weeks my joints really starting hurting even more so threw in the towel. This time think I will add more at least at first and see what happens. But not going to even think about doing it until after I get back from hunting.

 

I don't do net carbs, I do total carbs. With that, I don't count the apples or banana. I only do one piece of fruit a day unless I know it'll be a pretty physical day. Breakfast is usually 1 or 2 Belvida Golden Oat crackers with my coffee. Then I'll start with the banana just before I get out of the truck (when I first get on site). From there it's usually just the rest of my coffee and water until around 1100-1130. Then it's jerky and about 1/4 cup of mixed/unsalted nuts. That and more water will carry me to around 1400-1430. If I've burned off the banana I'll grab the apple. If I'm low/borderline low I keep a small single serve peanutbutter in my lunchbox and I'll dip apple slices in that l, especially if I'm up north. It'll boost me up and the drive won't put me to sleep. By the time I get home I'm anywhere from the high 80's to high 90's. Water, I drink a lot of water throughout the day. Dinner is meat and vegetables. But I find that apple pretty key to energy and fiber along with the Belvita crackers. If I'm just driving and operating I don't do the banana. By the end of those days I find my evening blood sugar down in the 70's.

No root vegetables so taters, carrots and that stuff is out. No peanuts either. I do celery quite a bit. It seems to help with the blood pressure. I also try to do quite a few avocado. 3 or 4 a week.

 

Dats where we be! Cold AF this morning but flight at 5pm was perfect!
