So I went and got another one of these Harbor freight lights. I’ve had one at the shop for about two years. Needed something better for the house so I got another one.

Mega farms are everywhere now all across the country. Was at a party couple of years ago at the Eagle Bluff learning center and one of the people there was a salesman for the large mega dairy farms. He showed me his phone app that connected to a 1200 wet milker farm and had information for each cow and how much it had eaten, milk production, milk fat, and the optimum grain and feed each day for every animal. Down to the oz.

Strangely most of the mega dairy farms here no longer cycle the way they used to. Cows are kept in food lots with lights on 24 hours a day and seldom get out. They bring in grain and roughage from the outside sometimes have railroad sidings bring in the feed right up to the feed lot. Other farms focus on corn and beans and have no animals. CHS is huge here and they even offer dog food at the smaller stores. Ammonia trucks and tanks plus every type of fertilizer you can imagine some are so large they only cater to tractor trailers. They also have huge barges going down river on the Mississippi, sometimes with fertilizer sometimes with grain headed around the world.

Cooked and smoked 3 lbs. of thick sliced bacon today. Only will take 30 seconds in the microwave to warm it up this week when I want some.

    3 lbs bacon start.jpg

    bacon on smoker.jpg

Could have done 5-6 lbs. and next time will.

    bacon plated.jpg

Normally don't do it because I like to save my bacon grease. But ended up with a fair amount to add to my fridge bacon grease container.

    bacon grease.jpg

And while I had the apple wood out for smoke did 6 lbs. of wings on the kettle and vortex.

Can't have Nascar race without a nice post race fight between two teams . The fight between Logano and Hamlin , looked like an all all brawl that took alot of officials to stop it
