    Good morning all; happy Saturday...

    Funny, I'm going through architect problems right now at work. I am managing a project on bringing in a new piece of equipment that needs a foundation for support. Well, the firm came up with a plan that can't be done. The foundation depth was based purely on machine weight not soil conditions so the plans call for an approx 15x25 foot concrete block 8' deep thats set 13' below the floor. Here's the problem: the building footings for an interior support wall are less than 10' away and they are only 4' deep. How does one dig 13' deep without undermining the footings? I asked him in a meeting with the construction firm, "how is this supposed to be constructed?" His response was "the construction company determines that..." Let's just say the machine needs to go elsewhere and the architect isn't involved anymore.

    We have a lot of flyovers in our small township for parades and such of old military prop planes. I’m just not good on which ones are what anymore. I run up to 2nd floor deck when I hear them. Still can’t find my binoculars after the move.
