    Good morning all

    Red sky this morning...

It's just me and the dog. Wifey and the kid went to "mothers" yesterday. Work tomorrow. I haven't been there in a while. I wonder if I'll find my way there??

    Very nice!

My previous DSLR film camera kit /outfit with multiple lenses (5 I think) was a Pentax, although I forget the model. Did a lot with that over the course of a several years here in Maine. Shot primarily slide film.

I found myself using just a single lens 90% of the time (24-120 if I recall). When digital took off, one day I just boxed everything up (I keep boxes, packing material, etc. for items like that) and traded it all for an Olympus digital camera kit at my local camera shop (it's still open btw). Eventually switched to Nikon. Decided to stay with Nikon mainly because I'm so familiar with their menu's, settings, etc.

When I recently decided to jump back into the DSLR world, I researched the crap out of things, including the new Mirrorless line. Suffered from a bit of analysis paralysis. Since Nikon just jumped into the the Mirrorless world, I decided to go with slightly older and proven technology and stumbled on that D810 body on eBay with that 16-35. I envision picking up a 24-120 at some point, but that's it as I'm more of a minimalist these days. Could switch to Mirrorless in the future as Nikon makes an adapter for the existing lenses, but I do prefer native lenses.

For my fly-fishing trips, my compact waterproof/shockproof Nikon AW 130 with floating wrist strap is always with me. Does a fantastic job for those spontaneous moments.

Here's a link to an Alaska trip 2 years ago.

Come on in the quarantine tent. The boys will need a fourth for poker. FWIW, take the orange ones 2x per day. Your sore throat will be gone in no time.

I keep them in the candy dish...
