oh man I can deffinately feel your pain! I'm just back to work a month now after my shoulder surgery on the 31st of march. it'll get better I promise. after they let you out of the immobilizer and you can drive again. it still clicks, pops, and hurts and isn't very strong yet

Good morning and happy hump day!

Well chit I've been laying in bed awake tossing and turning from back and leg pain since 3 AM should have gotten up. Had my shoulder done more than 30 years ago in the military pretty primitive by today's standards. Hope it is worth it for you in the end, and that the pain gets better soon. I'm letting the doc know today that 300mg of gabapentin 3 times a day just isn't cutting it for me. Don't want to go the opiate route but don't want to be in so much pain feel like puking either.

Well since I still have 4 yrs to go for retard ahem retire it had to be done no more shots as the mri showed the muscle along the shoulder blade was torn almost in half. Funny uncle owns this too along with the left ankle rebuild and left knee along with assorted other repairs lol. Been down the better living through chemistry routine but with my job narcs are a no go and to add insult to injury I am allergic to NSAIDs ie anaphylactic allergic. Soo here I sit typing left handed and deciding when to attempt the shower. lol

Awake on a day when I had planned to sleep a little later....Neighbor going through a nasty divorce. He came home @ 4AM, drunk, loud, and stupid. Set off car alarm and woke up every dog within barking range. Now I can't go back to sleep. I'll speak with him at a later date. No point in arguing with a drunk.

Other'n that, all's good! Gotta grease the drive shaft today and then the truck is ready to roll Friday morning! Our annual trip to Black Mountain Off Road Adventure Park is this weekend! Guest list is growing! May be a 2017 Tacoma Pro on the list now! So far, two 1st gens, four 2nd gens, maybe a 3rd gen, maybe a 4Runner, and maybe a Jeep XJ (so we have someone to verbally abuse!)

Cypher surprised they didn't talk about the gabapentin route for you. Not that it has worked for me yet but I have sat in with one of the leading pain specialist at Mayo Clinic about it before. It should work, in theory. At least more times than not.

I recall my left arm being taped down to my side and they used stainless steel sutures. The doc cut the sutures with a pair of pliers then grabbed the end and pulled them out with a strong jerk. I passed out LOL. Finally got to wash under my left armpit after that. Wasn't a pleasant smell... Be careful and be safe!

Was never mentioned but damn straight will ask about it , I am in a immobilizer sling and the hardware stays in . As long as I can catch a dog, draw a weapon and handle a shot gun and M4 I will be good. Never got to that high a level of care VA in this state wouldn't send me anywhere until the last year or sa

That absolutely sucks and pisses me off about the VA Cypher. My oldest dog is in rough shape and has hip dysplasia. The vet has him on 100mg of gabapentin 2X a day. I really should have him put down but he is holding steading for now and can't do it. But point being even vets are starting to use gabapentin for pain in animals.

You don't get out much do you? You're not fat from Rapidan Wildlife Management Area. It's broken up into about 4 incongruous sections, but some of the roads are quite fun. Nothing super gnarly but fun. And the scenery is awesome

You're also not far from GWNF. There are lots of fun places to go. Not only is Flagpole Knob a destination but they're is nearby Meadow Knob....the roads there are Dunkle Hollow and Union Springs.

North of 33, there is Long Run, Second Mountain, and others I'd have to look at the Gazeteer to remember.

Vepco Road has some amazing views.

There are campsites interspersed all throughout and camping is free.

It's no MOAB, but it's outside and wonderful
