Been following this story for a while now, not expecting a good outcome at this point...
Back in October family members contacted the police to do a welfare check on two kids in a little town in Idaho. The kids hadn't been in touch with their relatives since September and the parents wouldn't return calls/texts/emails either. Police go to the house and the parents answer the door, say the kids are visiting friends in Arizona. Police contact the extended family and tell them that. Family checks in with these friends and they say they haven't seen the kids either. Cops still don't get too excited but the family insists on putting out a missing/endangered children alert.
Meanwhile, the police learn that the lady's first husband died early on in 2019 of suspicious circumstances and the guy's first wife died in August. This guy marries this widow less than a month after his wife dies. Her family asks for her body to be exhumed and the medical examiner changes her cause of death from natural to suspicious. Dude's a big believer in near-death experience and weird religious/cult shit.
Now its end of November, both of these people have dead spouses whose deaths were ruled suspicious and no one's heard from the kids in over 2 months. Cops go back to the house but no one's there, the husband and wife skipped town. Takes them a few more weeks to get a search warrant for the house and that comes through around Christmas. no word on if they found anything at the house but they were there for two days. Three months without any word on the kids at this point.
Earlier this week the husband and wife turn up in Hawaii and they've apparently been there for several weeks. No sign of the kids there either.
The police still haven't charged either one of them with anything but they've told the lady that she has until the end of the week to let authorities know where the kids are or she will be arrested for contempt of court. Over four months with no word from the kids. This is not going to end well and why they haven't arrested these two yet is beyond me. They have to know where the kids are and I suspect that they killed them. IF your kids are missing you don't take off on vacation like nothing wrong. Dude's already got some strange views on life and both of these people have dead spouses....how can you not be suspicious of them?

    Funny you should mention this.

So we get this DC executive in town last October and all he wanted was to visit Franklin’s BBQ and the Spam museum. We were like “uh, sir, we think you have the wrong Austin...”

    Right?

These two should be the prime suspects. But the police have basically just let them run wild and no ones batting an eye.
Spouse 1 dies and its "suspicious"
Second spouse dies within 6 months. No one takes notice.
Widow and widower get hitched less than a month later.
Kids go missing less than a month after that.
Second spouse's death now classified as suspicious.

Why aren't these two being questioned about their dead partners?
Why aren't they being questioned about the kids?
If the kids are alive who's looking for them? And why was no one looking for them in October before winter set in?

A little of this and a little of that.
Good morning. Coffee and more coffee.

Found out yesterday that my daughter Laura made Dean's list at her college. I'm very proud of her.
