    yep. happens at least a few times every year. why was no one trying to yell or scare the bear away though? :laugh: can be pretty effective to scare them just by yelling and banging on something.

    also 1st deputy didn't even have bear spray...i can see it being not standard issue depending on where you are regularly patrolling but if you're in an area that frequently gets bear calls it should be.

    we've had a few mountain lions wandering into the cities too. THAT gets everyone excited.
