That stuff would scrub paint off metal. Not sure if it kills germs or just scraps off skin layers.

we had another meeting today here at work.
most of the admin staff will be working from home starting monday.
sales staff will be taking turns working here and from home.
two people called off sick today for unknown reasons.
i have the option to work from home if i want it but a guy is out next week on vacation and i'm his back up so i'll likely start the work from home thing week after next.
we were told that we will shut down completely if the local schools decide to close as there are a lot of folks here with kids who would then need to find alternative child care for them if they were to continue to work and that kinda defeats the whole purpose of it all.

My son has to be here because he physically works on the computers, and I’m his ride in. We’re about to go “nonessential 100% telework” and secure the facility to essential personnel only.

That means if you’re not on the essential list your ass doesn’t get in the building. Period.

    ...

In the time it took to type that, my boss and I were upgraded.

Swell. I STILL have to drive to work!!

    This is stupid.

Every aisle packed to check out.

    Even the water is gone.

It's not a natural disaster, the water flows.

Does a Tail Gate Lock Count?

So True. Just for fun, I logged on to Costco and Target to check stock. If you can wipe with it, it is out of stock... Seriously? Two nationwide store - Out Of Stock on all paper goods.

I got a full tank of gas in the Tacoma, a freezer filled with bacon and smoked meats and about 600 lbs of charcoal and wood. I think I am ok for a bit.

I'm down to about a quarter ton of charcoal. But not panicking. Yet. Waiting for the Memorial day sales at Home Depot and Lowes on the twin packs to replenish stock. Will pick up more pellets and fill spare propane tank this weekend. Just in case...

This whole thing reminds me of the gun powder and lead shortage of a few years back. Oh and .22 ammo. Afraid it is going to get worse before it gets better.

On a lighter note time for this again.

It's a great time for paper

Lady ahead of me is a teacher and was told to go home and teach her students online.

Half the people don't have computers or internet, so the school said they could come to the computer room and use those.

    At school

Where they are not supposed to be.

And the computers don't have cameras.

From the stores I was at yesterday, you may be limited to pickle relish and canned peaches..... I was surprised what was being purchased. Noodles, rice, flour, peanut butter among other items were all flying off the shelves.

I have about 15 bottles of Head Country BBQ sauce. Not sure how much ketchup I have though.

Wife was home today. School is closed for 2 weeks and she’s a prison guard; err check that; special ed (read behavior issues) aide. So today she had a bunch of her coworkers from the district over for cake... Great, now the house is infected :annoyed:
