The one bad thing about all this, my hands are looking like a dried up piece of fruit from all the extra washing. Makes my wife happy. Now she's got me using her Mary Kay hand lotion. I told her I'm not going to pay for it.

Way to bring it all back into perspective.

Mom and dad are riding it out in the middle of 22 acres with multiple fields of fire. Mailbox is 300 yards from the house...and that's all the local interaction they want.

Nice! I shared that on Monday, but that link came to us within the network. I'm glad that the notification system is working as intended.

    THANK YOU FOR SHARING!!

Seriously - I'm pinging the PM of that project now. She'll be thrilled.

My folks are gone but Mary's parents are not taking this seriously. And the thing is Mary's mom used to be a nurse. Just hoping for the best.

    Sorry for your loss.

The folks are in their late 70's, mom has Parkinson's and dad just finished recovering from an aneurysm. Spoke to them last night - they're worried about ME. There are no cases in their county currently, but they're taking no chances.

My MIL is a different story. She's the social butterfly of the neighborhood and it's killing her to hide inside her house. She was robbed a few years ago (the day my FIL died in fact) and now doesn't go anywhere without his sheriff's department service revolver (Smith 6" L-frame .357). God help anyone who gets within range of her. At 78, she can still hit center of mass with that beast from 15 yards. I've tried to get her into an LCR but she ain't having it. She wants her "Dirty Harry Gun."
