    sorry.. he lost me after says that it was over the Yellowstone Plume AKA the Yellowstone volcano. It doesn't extend that far....maybe 16 million years ago it did but not anymore. The Craters of the Moon area to the SE of the quake epicenter and SW of Yellowstone Park was the location of the plume about 10 million years ago and its been slowly creeping ENE ever since
