we just made the last mortgage payment yesterday

 

That's outstanding! It's a great feeling, isn't it?

I paid off my Taco earlier this week. We're officially debt-free.

That is an amazing feeling...until you get you first property tax bill and realize you still have to pay a shitload of money to live in your own house.

Ah,no. The state is basically full of clueless blue haired seniors who think Trump is the greatest thing that ever happened to the US. Trust me on this, I met a lot of them while visiting my mother in Sun City.
The other groups are Northerners who think this state exists only for their amusement, and Cubans who ruined South Florida (I used to live in Miami, and I can defend that statement).

So, angry mob? No, because the real Floridians have been happily at home since early March.

I've been debt free about 10 years when I was cranking out some insane OT.
Paid cash for my 2 Yotas and not looking back!

 

I couldn't quite pay cash for mine when I got it, but I was able to cover half.

The low $200-ish (don't remember the exact amount) monthly payment kept my credit score up, though.

 

I did that when I bought my house.
Put down a little under half the price for down payment. Always paid extra principle, even if was only 50 bucks extra. When it reached a certain point, I killed the balance.
A money guy told me to do that and said when more principle is paid, the remaining balance will start to snowball.

Absolutely!

I was auto-transferring $300/month on the truck, that's why I don't know what my actual payment was. That brought it down real quick.
