FaceTime is an apple thing and as such propriety only to iphones. Skype plays well on both Android and iphone & Apple OS. My sisters, mother and even my oldest son all have iphones and want to FaceTime me. With the exception of my son I try to explain to them I can't there from here. Could have them install Skype but then I'd have to shave and put pants on LOL.

We use Skype (Lync) at work often because we have an Enterprise license for it. Also use Cisco WebEx, Citrix GoToMeeting and Level 3 Communications when dealing with outside vendors because we don't open the door to the outside world for Skype due to security. But they cost, not a lot but it adds up fast with thousands of users.

Last couple of weeks have been setting a lot of departments and teams up to work virtually and was shocked at how many have said they have Zoom. They are not supposed to use Zoom due to security issues. You can lead a horse to water but can't make it drink. Bullshit.. hold his head down long enough he will drink. Endpoint has a script that at logon checks and if Zoom is installed removes it.

If it was me, I would use a battery drill set to the driver position, and dial the clutch way back. Using a corded drill with no clutch or brake could snap the pilot drill bit as it passes through metal, allowing hole saw top skitter across surface of what you are drilling. Have drilled many cans for electrical panels in this manner.

Good morning all. So for the Grandparents missing their visits with Grand-babies, I feel the same way concerning my Dad. Been a couple weeks since I stopped some deer sticks off to him. Did not stay long, did the distancing thing. I just can't chance dragging something to him even though I am healthy (knocks on wood). We talk and text nearly everyday, but it ain't the same. Dad and I really are due for a trip over the big hill to the cabin, but again, just can't chance it. The scare we had with his anaplasmosis, several years ago, nope, not doing that again. Happy Sunday all, and be safe!

    Good morning.

I bought the punch and a good selection of dies for that. Works pretty slick.

Oh, I don't use it. That's for my partner. He makes those decisions. On new boxes that haven't been "adulterated" is where he uses it most...I'm just a ham-fisted operator.

"List" was re-written as of yesterday....

Con has been designated "Shopper of groceries" and I handle the rest...... until yesterday- some Clown in a "Electric cart" decided to be an A$$

1st he moved into "safe space", then implied she was out of line..... the f!@#$ tape & dots are easy to SEE, tried again to cheat the line but CS corrected him , on passing back by Con , the SOB purposely touched her back...:mad::mad::mad:...... Now being the smart lady she is , my son received a text asking what to do , as Idiot was still testing........ because if I had received the text ,we might be doing jail house interview ( even at my age, WD is only 10-15 minute bike ride.....)

WD management was again great , calmly dealing with said IDIOT :argue::argue: and I now either go with for groceries or she will computer shop and have me pick up....

Sorry folks, rant over BUT DO NOT F@#$ with my girls........:fistbump:

Ok, back to list..... mother nature shortened mine, rain is inbound , so outside activities , bye-bye

Prepped food for grillin' a late lunch and only "Planned activity left" is to run out to our sons....community swap; I get my cordless drill package back and they get a container of Momma's homemade soup and their mail...:woot:

PLEASE enjoy your Sunday , respect those that respect you ........................

And bury the rest, just don't tell anyone where....:welder::devil:

We're switching over from Skype to MS Teams. We'll do calls where they open it to all and sometimes it's over 200. They say Skype can max out at 250 if you have multiple speakers so apparently we needed another option. With so many at home now these calls are now one right after another.
Got to admit, not really liking the work from home thing. The line between work life and personal life seems to be getting blurred. No respect for ones own time, folks just keep calling when ever. And with all the office phones forwarded to the cell phones, you're just too easy to reach.

I don't do P&E (plumbing & electrical) while he's here. I get to do fun stuff like troubleshooting and get whatever it is back online enough till he gets here in November. Then he'll engineer and plan the fix. I'll pull wire, lay conduit or pvc on the larger jobs while he's here. The really good thing is we've gone through most of the stuff and made huge improvements. Last summer I was able to stick my stuff mostly. I feel pretty good about this summer too. He's starting to idle down for the season and I start into roads/drainage/campground access/brushing/gates next week. He's got about 2 weeks before they go back to Idaho for the summer.

Haven't had any problems after 1630...I shut that stupid thing off. The important people, and very few of those, have my personal number. And we're all good about respecting other's time.
