I will add another "good point" to this conversation..

Boss man just called and the owners are holding my "Spot" until I get the Doctors clearance...

There is no "time frame" involved which makes the stress level drop and all I have to do is just take care of Momma..... :hattip:

    Old Man back quiet .....

    You can ask Carol.
I’m not one to just sit around all day.

we switched to 4 10's this week - mainly to make it so that the guys in the shop and in the field only have to be out in public 4 days and not 5. doesn't make any difference to me really but its 7am to 5pm for me right now.

Man, I loved working 4 tens instead of 5 eights. 3 day weekends are fantastic.
Unfortunately I left that job and now I’m back to 6 days a week...

    I can’t do 10’s.
I’m to drained and my hip will cramp.
It does now but that would make them severe

Great news! Now you can just focus on yourselves!

You sound a lot like my wife!

So do you actually work from 7 to 5? Not being sarcastic... my wife is working from home but she’ll work for a while then go do something, then work, do something. No set hours. She’ll “start” at 3 in the afternoon or 5 in the morning.

we used to do, 0600–>1630. Those hours were great for me, as I’m an early riser.
Even now, that I am stuck at home, I still get up at 0530....

We're good...little bored, but safe, paid, and well stocked. It could be so much worse.

I’m sure when I get into it it will take me a few seasons to downshift and slow down.
But then again. How much time do we have left.

To be honest, it will be a miracle if I survive this pandemic......

So do shit until you can’t cause once you stop you never get it back..

i've wanted to do 4 10's for a while but never had the chance. now I get to but can't go anywhere on my 3 days off. i usually take a bunch of random fridays or mondays off throughout the summer to go on longer camping trips so this would be perfect for me - i'll stop using up all of my vacation days just for a long weekend here and there. that is if i can go camping anytime soon

you can always be a walmart greeter!

    i try

    is zat yer bait?

    :notsure:

most days i have about 6 hours of work if all goes well. yesterday i was done with everything on my schedule by 10am then cleaned house and puttered around until about 3pm when more came in.
today i put in about a solid 3 hours spanned over the 10 total hours. and there was 6 hours of cussing and calling people to try to get past whatever roadblock was stopping me at the time. and i went for a walk fo 30 and put dinner in the crockpot for 30.

i get everything done that i can, guess i'm just "on call" the rest of the day

bout the same here. can't complain really.
