That's the famous North Shore area , beyond that point is thousands of miles of open ocean and the Asian continent

Man spend a few days away from here and you're buried too deep to catch up! Especially when your lucky to get 1X data most of the time to hotspot with the phone.

Keep the pictures coming Chuck, love them and been a long time since I've been to the rock. I've body surfed on the North Shore in the Winter when the waves are huge. Until found out the sharks move in then. Yes the modern subs are a LOT larger. The mission of them has changed too. This guy
    [IMG]

Was in charge of the US Sub Fleet before he retired. He is helping the Aussies build their Nuc Sub fleet. He purchased the house we are in right now in SD and only here for pheasant season a couple weeks a year. Which is right now.

The Chaplain (Capt.) lives in Hawaii 6 months of the year and Wa. State the rest. And the Skipper Capt. East Coast and Hawaii 6 months each also. The Cdr. father lived to be a 100 and was the last surviving officer of the USS Arizona when it was sunk. He was interned a couple of years ago with his men which was his wish.

His son to the right is here with us, he better be we call him pheasant sensei and he sets up most of the pheasant hunting plans.

Stepped in more than a few badger holes and tripped and fell on barbed wire in the grass more than times than I want to admit. Hurt bad enough to start with but walking miles each day in tall grass, tules and cattails is taking its toll. But the dogs are having fun and worth every minute. Getting some birds but not what it used to be here in the past before the loss of CRP land.

With luck will get back to check on more Hawaii pics soon!
