Scott, I spoke to a chemistry prof yesterday here @ the university where I work. He said they are being told we will open in August, normal date. Students must be 6 foot apart in classrooms. His one class has 50 students. He measured one of the lecture halls in the science center (my building), best he can do is 40 students. Also how will profs conduct their labs? Stagger their students? Going to get interesting. I am hoping we open. Three years and nine months.

    Morning all

    Interesting thing about reported cases.

The numbers stay low if there is no testing.

Exactly, that's the problem here in Brevard County, we could be like Orlando if they were actually getting results for the tests that were sent out!!

 Hard freeze warning here tonight and a few more over the next week.

7 or 8 years ago we got 18" of snow first week of May. Barns and pole buildings collapsed all over the place it is that heavy wet shit this time of year. Be careful shoveling that heavy global warming crap off yer deck.

Yesterday got my grass cut for the first time of the year also. Driest Spring I recall in a long time and no rain, or snow, in the forecast. Friend of mine on the North Shore of Superior said the same up there. He saw 9 grouse in an hours drive the other day. Last few years population has been down because it was so wet in the Spring they either froze to death or drowned. Now we need some rain soon for insects so the chicks have something to eat. Broods should be dropping soon.

Good afternoon all, Got up, walked and fed the dogs then headed down the hill to the Springs to make a Costco run. Got in with the early bird (old folks) timing. No chicken to be had 0- NONE - Nada. Bought my limit of ground buffalo, ribs and rib eye steaks plus two beef round eye roast. Wish I could find buffalo roast - headed to the local processor to see what they have for buffalo. This should hold us over for at least a month if not more.

    Have a great day everyone...

I'm torn between all the closings.....I can see both sides. Could be you only have that number since you were closed. How many cases would you have had, if stores n' stuff had been left open? Look @ what's been happening in NY.... :notsure:

i went shopping last night too. meat prices have about doubled here in the last two weeks. couple weeks ago i could get 93/7 burger for 3.50, now the 80/20 stuff is 7.00 pork chops were around 6.00 and steaks started at 16.00. no chicken breasts in stock but they did have cut up parts so i got some legs and thighs for about 1.50. i usually grill most of my meals in the summer so it doesn't matter what shape its in really. still was shocked to see the prices. the store gets most of their stuff from local farmers so the G-D cows and grew up in this county or the next. can't be that freaking hard to get them on the shelves right now.
