Tonight, I tried to change out my brake lines to extended ones. Failed miserably. Moth@#$%ers that were attached to the rear frame bracket would not break loose. Flare nut started to ever so slightly round off. I've learned from previous nut removal failures to stop and re-assess/re-evaluate, before I really screw it up.

I did buy some decent quality flex head metric flare nut wrenches that arrived today, so I got to use them. The 10 mm seems slightly loose. The 9 mm's too small. I even tried to see if a standard 10 mm open end would fit. They were also slightly loose. Damn things seem like they would be an oddball 9.5mm, so I ordered some 3/8" flare nut wrenches (= 9.525 mm.) In the meantime, I'll keep spraying on penetrating oil until I get the 3/8" wrench. maybe it'll work.
Need other suggestions...

 

Well I'm back home after a long travel day ,got to sit next to and talk with a very nice looking Hawaiin girl during my flight back to the mainland . She even said Mahalo to me after we went our separate ways at the airport

 

I paid others to do the job, they had the same issues, used the same swear words you probably used and since then I have heard others having the same issue. But I can't help you as I was in the waiting room sipping coffee.

take the 2 bolts out that attach the bracket to the frame for those lines it makes it much easier to get to them. we fought mine for hours and finally got them off just to realize wheelers had sent the wrong brake lines.

With a vehicle up north and your year the torches are part of the tool list. It is a job that can go south very quickly. We have had some people try to do what you are doing and had to replace all the brake lines. And we have others that break free like new. Glad you stopped and re-evaluated the situation.
I have no advise per say except experience and "tricks of the trade" only learned by said experience can get you out of situations. I do know one guy sprayed all his connections for a year and it still didn't help.
Go slowly..
Oh btw.
I gave you a rear shock replacement info about 15 pages ago..
