    Here's the most current update , Hurricane Douglas is now a cat 4 . I'm hoping that the Trade winds weaken it down to a Tropical storm

    @TK-422

    Just viewed a 1 hour old weather forecast for the islands and they're stating Hurricane Douglas should Downgrade to a cat 1 then downgrade to a tropical storm by tomorrow

    Looks like the trade winds are weakening Douglas as expected

    Dads good. mom called, his blood pressure was 92/36. scared her. I called heart doc.said he was probably dehydrated from yesterday to push fluids. I went up and he was feeling good. told him to drink gatorade and eat some salty food like chips. the sodium helps retain fluids. but looked and felt good. ate a good breakfast. thanks

    witnessed my first anit-mask tantrum at the grocery store today. state ordered masks in all indoor public spaces, businesses have the right to kick people out if they refuse. guy came in, clerk asked him to put on a mask (very politely), he gave her a shit eating grin and said very pompously "no", she said that he would have to leave. he threw the shopping basket (one of the small carry ones) into the deli area and stormed out. reminded me of a toddler having a tantrum except it was a guy older than me.

    Taco about bit the bullet today/moran report like Tacomike. heading thru town. two lane,raining. car right beside me truck in front with big flatbed trailer. when he crossed the bridge over interstate the bump threw a 6x6 block of wood he must use as a chock.it hit th trailer again and went air borne. headed for my windshield at 50mph. on the brakes, nowhere to go. slowmotion moment. started to duck under the dash,watched it go down below the hood. thump. was over like that. believe it or not no damage. hit the front skid plate. scuffed and dented the plate. no other damage.could have been ugly. :curls:

    o_O

    late 40's maybe?

    damn lucky! I hate when folks around here have flatbeds or even regular trucks with tons of shit in there not tied down. Was behind a guy the other day with a couple dozen wood fence posts in the bed of his truck, tailgate down, and nothing holding them in place. I gave him plenty of room just in case.

    That sucks Mike , hopefully tomorrow will be better with you catching lots of fish

    Yet here in California people still don't know how to properly wear a mask or even wear one . I was at a Home Depot nearby and was shocked at how many people weren't wearing masks or social distancing

    Haven't been to this store since early April when they had protective measures in place . Yesterday's visit looked like pre covid days , I was totally shocked at what I saw

    That was a close call glad the damage was minimal . I had something similar happen almost 20 years ago with my Camaro . I had a Coca-Cola semi truck in front of me when all of a sudden I see a object flying thru the air then a loud sound from it hitting my windshield

    I couldn't see the damage as it was 4am so I tried to get the drivers attention but he wouldn't pull over . So I wrote down the trailer # and license # and cab / truck # . Later that morning at work I called the local bottling plant and talked with a dispatcher . I gave truck trailer #'s and license # and time of incident . His response back was yes that was our truck and correct time and location but we have an " Act of God " clause on our insurance therefore we won't buy you new windshield and then hung up

    I ended up buying a new windshield for $500 and to this day I still have a dent on the pass side A pillar
